On Wednesday evening, the 36-year-old told his followers that he was preparing for his pilot exam.

The comedian admitted he was incredibly nervous after the failure of his first attempt.

“After failing my first attempt, tomorrow I have my second chance at my pilot exam and as you can see when you swipe I feel beautiful,” he wrote alongside a photo of a map and some textbooks, as well as a selfie of him looking stressed.

Tommy is a comedian, writer, actor, television and radio host. He has been a co-host of The Project for four years and also has his own radio show Carrie & Tommy on the Hit Network with Carrie Bickmore.

It comes after Tommy finds someone similar to him on the popular dating app Hinge.

The radio host shared a photo of himself holding up his phone, which was open on the profile of a man known simply as “Nick.”

The comedian looked stunned and zoomed in on the man’s profile, which included a photo of someone eerily similar to him.

“All I’d like to know about you is, are you looking for fun?” read Nick’s profile on the dating app.

Tommy captioned the post: “Apparently I’m also on Hinge looking for fun.”

His hilarious post got a lot of backlash from confused fans, with many claiming they would “swipe” at Nick.

“If this isn’t photoshopped, then there are real doppelgängers,” said one person.

Added another: ‘Oh, I’ve run into him a few times’.

It’s unclear if the photo in question is an old photo of Tommy, or someone with a similar appearance to The Project star.

Daily Mail Australia has asked Tommy for clarification.
