A top boss and friend of the Danish Royal family Died in a horrible ski accident.
Michael Halbye was on holiday in Verbier’s exclusive Swiss Alps Resort when the tragedy unfolded on Saturday 12 April.
The 64-year-old Danish financier was flown to the hospital by helicopter after the freak accident, but died of internal bleeding shortly after arrival.

Mr Halbye was also an old friend and confidant of Queen Mary and king Frederik van DenmarkAttending countless royal events and family celebrations over the years.
In a sincere tribute, Queen Mary described him as a ‘valued colleague and loyal friend’, calling his sudden death on vacation ‘a big personal loss’.

Their friendship began when King Frederik, as a Crown Prince, would be introduced in the great Danish business community, where the Royal House called for Michael Halbye, the Danish media reported earlier.

The 54-year-old skier, who was not publicly mentioned, was on an authorized run of the 6,800-foot high small separation pass to Brandegg when he suddenly drove off the slopes.
It is understood that he lost control and crashed from the marked slope before he fell into the Rychenbach stream on 11 April.
The skier was flown to the hospital in the capital Bern after colleague skiers pulled him out of the water near the village of Grindelwald and called the emergency services.
The police said he died the next day in the hospital from several injuries.
The river was made famous as the last confrontation between Sherlock Holmes and his Arch Enemy Professor Moriarty during the Reichenbach Fall.
The police are investigating death.
