“We have leopard print for every occasion,” say Asda bosses.

The Leopard Print Quilted Tie Front Waistcoat costs £20 and is available in sizes 8 to 24.

Made from 100% cotton, it features a V-neck, triple-breasted front closure and a rounded hem.

George at Asda’s social media team promoted the trendy item on Instagram.

“I’m so obsessed with it,” said one fashionista.

“I’ve worn it twice already.”

“Oh, this is beautiful,” cheered another.

“I might have to pick one up when I go grocery shopping next week.”

Others said they were “very tempted” by the style and joked that they were “running to Asda”.

The vest was also compared to the £80 Damson Madder Tilly Gilet.

‘It’s everything,’ shoppers shout as they rush to Asda to get their hands on a viral £28 jacket

This leopard print overshirt went viral on TikTok earlier this year as fashion fans raced to get their hands on one.

“The Tilly gilet features a quilted body, crew neck and front tie fastenings with a regular fit,” a blurb reads.

Fashion editors say…

The leopard print trend has a rich history… there’s a reason it’s a catwalk favorite.

From iconic Coronation Street barmaid Bet Lynch to Spice Girl Mel B, animal print has been an iconic look on our screens, catwalks and high streets for decades.

Reasons to buy supermarket fashion

When you’re looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or want to update your basics, you don’t have to spend hours scouring the clothes shops or scrolling online. Just buy a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg…

They are handy – Chances are that you go to the supermarket more often than to a shopping mall or high street.

It is affordable – Supermarkets are leaders in budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap, from basic items to more fashionable pieces.

They are more fashionable than you might think – Because their customer base is larger than that of the average high street store, stores like ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are better able to respond to the market and predict trends in many more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a bit more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often very practical too: think lots of 100% cotton that can be thrown in the washing machine without a second thought.

“I’m absolutely loving the leopard trend right now,” says Abby McHale, Fabulous’ deputy fashion editor.

“It’s a print that really stands the test of time and always comes back.

“So I have no problem investing in a statement piece that I know I can wear for years to come.

“I really wanted a pair of leopard print jeans and had my eye on a pair from Damson Madder.

“Unfortunately they seem to be sold out everywhere, so I went in a different direction and opted for a Sister Jane blouse with puff sleeves.”
