Ikea is launching a £13 Christmas tree, ideal for those who don’t have space
With Christmas just around the corner, many people are starting to think about where they can get the perfect tree.
But for those with limited space in the home, the idea of putting up a tree can feel more stressful than festive.
From measuring the space and rearranging furniture to figuring out whether you can even fit a tree without making the room too cramped, anyone with a smaller living space knows the struggle all too well.
But fortunately, Ikea has exactly what you need to solve all these problems.
It is somewhat of an alternative to the usual standing tree, but it is enough to prepare your home for the Christmas season.
The tree, which comes from Ikea, costs £13 and can be decorated with lights and baubles just like the real thing.
The tree is made of wood, is flexible and can be stuck to the wall.
It has a flexible construction and is easy to pull horizontally to the “desired width and length” that suits you and your wall space.
They have warned that different wall materials require different types of fasteners, and these will be sold separately.
Designer at Ikea Mikael Axelsson says, “It can be tricky to put up a traditional Christmas tree, especially if you live in a small space.
“That’s why I decided to create an alternative. Inspired by an ordinary knob rack, I designed a VINTERFINT wall decoration in pine.
“The flexible construction resembles an accordion that you can extend to the desired width and fill with Christmas tree decorations.
“Once Christmas is over, you can easily fold it up and put it away – or use it for jewelry and other accessories.”
The tree has been rated 4.8 out of 5 stars as many people rushed to the comments section of the website to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “AMAZING. I haven’t decorated it yet, but even on its own it looks fantastic.
“Well worth the £13! Can’t wait until December 1st!!! Easy to store and no assembly required.”
Another added: “This display is big so you need a lot of empty walls.
“It is of very good quality and the concertinas have a tall, thin shape for keeping in the box.
“There are ‘pegs’ to hang things up… again good quality and neatly finished.
It is robust but not too heavy. No assembly required

“If you don’t have room for a Christmas tree but you do have room on the wall, then this is for you, but measure first!
“There is no assembly required and it expands and contracts easily. I love it.”
A third said: “There’s not much room for a Christmas tree, this is perfect.
“It is robust, but not too heavy. No assembly required!”
Content creator Rosemarie Thiedmann also shared a video on her Instagram showing how to decorate the tree to the maximum.
