However, she found an imitation that cost her just £1 and she can buy it at Caffe Nero.
She discovered that the Ice cold velvet Americano is very similar to that of Starbucks
When she saw it on the menu, she asked the staff at her local Caffe Nero how it tasted and they said, “It’s beautiful.”
Leah says, “I was like, I’m sold. Can I please have one?”
She then shows the camera an ice cold drink with foam on top.
Leah continues, “I’m sold. I have honey with it, so it’s sweet too. To me it tastes like brown sugar oat milk espresso.”
A Vanilla Iced Velvet Americano from Caffè Nero costs £4.20 in the UK and contains 61 calories.
It is a blended black iced coffee with a creamy texture.
Caffè Nero also offers a Honey Iced Velvet Americano for the same price, which contains 67 calories.
However, if you have a phone plan with Three, customers can get the drink for £1 by downloading their app, which is exactly what Leah did.
She added in the comments section of her video: “My NEW order is Iced Velvet Americano with honey and a splash of oat milk!”
Her video received a lot of attention and many people responded in the comments to share their opinions.
Someone wrote: “Yes, this drink packs a punch.”
Another added: “Caffe Nero coffee is 100 percent better than Starbucks.”
A third said: “If you have an Octopus electricity bill you get a free drink every week.”
A Caffe Nero customer also suggested another drink to try.
They wrote: “You really have to try the pistachio iced latte from Nero! 10/10”
Leah responded by asking, “Isn’t it more beautiful?”
And they said, “100000%! Nero drinks are generally much better than Starbucks and much cheaper.”
