BAREILLY: A 16-year-old Dalit boypicked up by Kheri Police on September 3 for alleged theft and then "tortured", died in hospital in Lakhimpur Kheri on Saturday, reports Kanwardeep Singh. The boy's family and residents of Sisawan Kala village blocked a highway in front of the local police station for hours after they demanded an initial complaint against the "guilty officers" who "offered the family money not to report the case".
