Tragedy as mother of two, 34, who has beaten cancer, is found dead in bed by her 16-year-old daughter
A mother-of-two who beat cancer was found dead in bed by her 16-year-old daughter, her heartbroken family said.
Sarah Thompson, 34, was looking forward to going to a concert and bought a new outfit before she died suddenly that night.
She had previously overcome cancer in her larynx, which left her mute for eight months but was described by friends as ‘full of life’.
However, she was tragically found by her teenager Paige last weekend and her devastated family were left to plan her funeral.
The cause of death of Mrs Thompson, from Connah’s Quay, North Wales, has not been announced.

Her mother Gail said: ‘She was very popular and had a huge group of friends. We had people lay a lot of flowers outside the house, which showed how many people she knew.
“She definitely loved going to concerts. There was a time when I picked her up from a festival and she was there with four people she knew who said they needed a lift too, she was always trying to help people.
‘She was due to go to the O2 Academy in Liverpool on Tuesday. She had bought a new outfit especially for it.
‘Sarah was a very smart woman, outgoing and bubbly. She was very generous and always lent people money when they needed it.”
Ms Thompson was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and was left unable to speak after the operation.
Gail said: ‘She really struggled, but despite everything she went through, she remained the best mother to Paige and Zaine. She idolized them and absolutely lived for them.”
Mrs. Thompson’s cause of death has not been announced, but death has left her family’s heart
‘It’s just such a huge shock. We can’t understand it, it doesn’t feel real. There is a GoFundMe page that we hope will fund her funeral, and any additional money will be left to her two children.”
Friends Rebecca Burdis, who set up the fundraiser, said: ‘Sarah sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Saturday evening, September 28, well before her time.
“She is survived by her children Paige (16) and Zaine (10).
‘As we know, Sarah’s children were her world and this sudden tragedy has left a huge hole in their lives.’
More than £3,000 has been raised ahead of her funeral next week, with mourners encouraged to wear bright colours.
