Tragic event sees parachutist die after incident on terrain in Tarawera near Goondiwindi in Queensland
A man has died in a parachute jump on an estate in Queensland.
Emergency services were called to Meandarra Talwood Road in Tarawera, near Goondiwindi on the Queensland-New South Wales borderaround 8am on Tuesday.
Paramedics treated the man for life-threatening injuries, but he died at the scene.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia that the Forensic Crash Unit was sent to the scene along with police helicopters.
Detective Kelly Hanlen said officers are investigating the incident.
The accident is said to have occurred during a training camp at Funny Farm, the Courier post defeated.
According to the event’s Facebook page, the camp will be held on the grounds, running for five days since the event kicked off on August 26.
