Tragic event: Son of AFL legend commits suicide: ‘We are devastated’

The family of a Queensland young man who died last weekend say they are experiencing a “deep sense of loss”.
Kye David Hart, 24, died on September 21. He was from the Sunshine Coast and attended Sunshine Beach State High School.
He is survived by his parents Linda and David Hart. His father played for the West Coast Eagles in the AFL in the 1980s and 1990s, where he earned All Australian selection and won a premiership in 1994.
Kye followed in his father’s footsteps and played in the QAFL for the Noosa Tigers.
Family member Jess Hart said on a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses, Kye said he had “the biggest heart.”
“We are absolutely devastated and heartbroken. There are not enough words to describe how much we love Kye and how much we will miss him,” she said.
She said their family had lost a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a grandchild.
‘Kye’s love and affection were infectious, his cheeky beautiful smile would light up any room. Kye had the biggest heart and only wanted to give and help others.
