‘Traumatized’ Ekin Su Reveals Revenge Porn Photo Torment After ‘Stalker’ Threats
LOVE Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu called the police after she became a victim of revenge porn.
The 29-year-old woman said she was left “traumatised” after being threatened over intimate photos she had sent to an ex-boyfriend.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine on Sunday, Ekin-Su revealed she lost her phone during a date with a man she met on the dating app Tinder.
After the date, Ekin-Su said the man arrived at her home with a brand new phone.
She said: “It should have been a warning sign that it wasn’t in the box, but I thought, ‘He’s spoiling me, he loves me’.”
Ekin-Su said that after their date, she began using the phone occasionally while talking to the man.
She said: “I had the phone for two months and then I got a really strange email at my work address.
‘The emails kept coming’
“I had an administrative job at a financial company at the time. It said, ‘I know everything about you.'”
The Celebrity Big Brother star said she then received an intimate photo of herself. She said: “I thought it was spam but they added a photo of me wearing lingerie that I had sent to my ex.
“I tried to ignore it, but the emails kept coming and one of them said, ‘If you don’t reply, I’m going to email this friend with a private message you had about him behind his back.’
“And things like, ‘I saw you scratching your head. I know where you get your lunch.’ It was really weird stuff.
“The stalker threatened me with intimate photos that I had taken.
“It was basically just revenge porn, but the police couldn’t do anything about it.”
Ekin-Su said she was still on good terms with her ex-boyfriend, who suggested she contact the police.
She said: “The police said, ‘Did you meet anyone new? Did they give you any gifts?’ Of course it was that guy. I felt so stupid.
I was really traumatized. Now I watch for signals and cut people out early
Ekin-Su
“The IP (device address) was untraceable, I had to delete my phone, iCloud and emails. When I went on Love Island they asked me if anything could come up and I thought something might come up but luckily nothing happened.
“But I’m still concerned that something will come out.
“I was really traumatized. Now I watch for signals and I cut people off early. I have to protect myself.
“But I’m enjoying the single life at the moment.
“I’ve been in a relationship and I’m on Raya, but I’ve always gone from one relationship to the next. Now it’s about learning what I want and need in a partner before I settle down.”
