Travel influencer who wants free extra plane seats for overweight flyers creates new demand for plus-size passengers
A plus-size travel influencer known for calling for free extra plane seats for overweight travelers has filed a new demand.
Jae’lynn Chaney, 27, posted a TikTok video from Hawaii in which she says all pools should have railings to ensure inclusivity.
“Accessibility is not an option,” a voiceover says over the clip, which features a bikini-clad Jae’lynn getting in and out of a pool, aided by a handrail.
She added: ‘Without railings, many people cannot enjoy the pool safely.
“It’s time to ensure everyone can swim with confidence… Demand accessibility for all.”

The influencer’s TikTok video has been viewed more than 45,000 times.
However, due to previous negative comments, Jae’lynn has disabled comments on her social media accounts, where she has hundreds of thousands of followers.
Jae’lynn, who says she was given the God-given task of advocating for fat people, often uses her social media to report perceived discrimination she faces as a plus-size person, usually at airports.
Her recent antics include getting stuck in a revolving door at Chicago O’Hare Airport and lashing out at a Seattle-Tacoma Airport employee for refusing to push her up a ramp in a wheelchair, even though she can walk.
She previously caused a stir when she demanded extra seats for overweight passengers, at no extra cost.
Jae’lynn also argues that ride-hailing companies like Uber and Lyft should require their drivers to provide seat belt extenders for plus-size passengers.
“Every time I rideshare I am forced to travel without a seat belt because there are no seat belt extenders available. This is a common problem for many plus-size individuals,” she wrote in the video’s caption.
She continued: ‘This is not only inconvenient, it is also unsafe. It should be mandatory for ride-sharing companies to have at least one seat belt extender per vehicle.’
Jae’lynn, who has said God told her to stand up for fat people, often uses her social media to report perceived discrimination she says she faces as a plus-size person.
Jae’lynn has also argued that ride-hailing companies like Uber and Lyft should require their drivers to provide seat belt extenders for plus-size passengers.
One of her most recent missteps occurred at Chicago O’Hare airport, where she got stuck in a revolving door and claimed staff did nothing to help her.
Although Jae’lynn did not require a wheelchair due to her daily mobility issues, she claimed she felt trapped when being pushed through the airport in a wheelchair.
In the video in which she describes the incident, it is not shown that she is actually stuck in the revolving door.
Jae’lynn is in a polyamorous relationship with her husband.
Her weight hasn’t stopped her from finding romantic partners. In a recent video, she said that the same “gym rats” who troll her on TikTok have also approached her for sex on Tinder.

The influencer’s petition to force the FAA to require airlines to provide free seats to overweight flyers has been signed by more than 39,000 people.
Jae’lynn wrote: Air travel should be comfortable and accessible for everyone, regardless of size. As plus-size travelers, my partner and I have unfortunately experienced discrimination and discomfort while flying.
‘The FAA should require all airlines to implement comprehensive policies that take into account passenger size and prioritize the comfort and well-being of ALL passengers.
‘This policy should provide clear and inclusive guidelines for accommodating plus-size customers, including plus-size people, people with disabilities, tall people and anyone who needs more space to fly comfortably.’
The petition adds: ‘Airlines should offer refunds to large customers who purchase extra seats independently. This should be a simple process that can be accessed online or through customer service.’
