Trolls descend on mom who lets her teen film expensive skin care videos

A mother has been heavily criticised for letting her 18-year-old daughter make videos about skin care.

Growing up, most of us used our mother’s makeup bag to put on lipstick or apply a little blush to our cheeks.

The little girl's video was shared on her mother's Instagram account, where it was widely criticized

But a little girl, who is not yet a teenager, already has her own collection of expensive and popular skin care products, including the popular Sol de Janeiro spray and a facial roller.

According to the mother, Amy Parvaneh, her daughter, who is still in puberty, has even found her favorite beauty store: Sephora, which she prefers over Ulta.

Her daughter seems so up-to-date on the latest trends and beauty products that Amy says she often “coaches” her mom on skin care products she “didn’t know existed.”

Despite experts labeling the growing trend of children using skin care products as ‘dangerous’, reported by the BBCthe little girl follows a strict night-time regime.

One of those recent videos took Instagram by storm after Amy posted footage of the pre-teen, who is estimated to be between 10 and 13 years old, applying various products before bed.

Armed with an array of Sephora products, the teen brunette first used a pump cream, then moved on to purifying peeling pads that ”purify and exfoliate.”

Next up was a fancy Skintix Barrier Gel Cream (£48), Glow Recipe PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner (£10) and Niacinamide Dew Drops from the same brand, for a staggering £32.

To make sure the skin care products worked even better, the girl also used a facial roller to massage the ingredients into her skin.

“I am being coached into a world of skin care I never knew existed,” Amy wrote in the caption of the clip.

Although the pre-teen is very happy about it, the video quickly led to anger among social media users, who criticized the mother.

Mother criticized for daughter’s acrylic nails

Someone ridiculed Amy for letting her daughter use skin care products and advised her to encourage other activities.

”At this age, kids should be playing outside! Don’t make a video about “skin care” when they’re not even fully developed. Do better.”

Someone else agreed, adding: “Why does a child need to do skin care? She’s ruining her skin.”

Another warned Amy of the possible consequences, writing: “A good cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen will do the trick 🙂 Trust me, I did all this when I was younger; once I hit puberty my skin went crazy.

What type of skincare routine is INTENDED for a child?

By fabulous beauty editor Tara Ledden

For children, skin care is simple. A gentle cleanser is enough. For example, I recommend Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser, £9.99. For stubborn dried-on ketchup, a soft flannel cloth, muslin cloth or sponge is useful.

If your child is experimenting with make-up, micellar water such as Simple Micellar Cleansing Water, £2.50, is the quickest and easiest way to remove coloured cosmetics.

Then a pH balanced, fragrance-free moisturiser such as CeraVe Moisturising Cream (£5) is a nice part of your bedtime routine. This can often help you unwind and keep your skin hydrated.

If your child has eczema or dry skin, CeraVe is a great brand to use, as is Aveeno. They’re both gentle and nourishing, so they won’t dry out the skin or cause irritation, but stick to a moisturizer and cleanser to avoid overcomplicating things.

An SPF is great, especially in the summer. Garnier Ambre Solaire Ultra-Light Sensitive Face Fluid SPF50+, £12, is suitable for the whole family as it’s non-greasy and wears well under makeup.

”You need to click ‘Restart’ to get everything back to normal.”

Despite the criticism, there were also a few commentators who had no problem with the girl using expensive skin care products.

A fan responded to the haters, writing: “Y’all are getting so much hate it’s ridiculous.

“At least this 10 year old isn’t out there with pounds of makeup on and vaping. Y’all need to get a life and stop hating on people because y’all are bored.”

“The cuteness is too much. I have to buy them!” wrote another.
