Two Agniveers killed during firing practice in Maharashtra
Two Agniveers were killed on Thursday when a grenade from a Indian field gun exploded during one training exercise at the Artillery Center in NashikMaharashtra.
According to police, the incident took place in the Nashik Road area on Thursday afternoon.
The Agniveers, identified as 20-year-old Gohil Vishwaraj Singh, and 21-year-old Saifat were involved in the practice session. During the shooting exercise, a grenade exploded, injuring both people.
They were taken to MH Hospital, Deolali, where medical staff declared them brought dead.
Following a complaint from Havildar Ajit Kumar, authorities have registered a case of accidental death at Deolali Camp police station. The police are investigating the incident.
