Video images placed on social media also showed the Las Vegas strip flooded by police cars that respond to the incident.
Dozens of people in the area walked away from the scene of the incident in fear.
The Department’s Moorde Unit has been set to give an update to 1.45 hours local time on Monday (9.45 British time).
The tragedy goes back to the massive shooting in 2017 on the strip of Las Vegas when the 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened the fire on the crowd that attended Route 91 Harvest Music Festival from his 32nd floor Suites in the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
The shooter shot more than 1,000 rounds and killed 60, causing at least 413 others to be injured.
The rush caused by panickers that ran out of the area brought the total number of injured people to nearly 870.
Only an hour after the shooting, Paddock was found dead in the room after taking his own life.
To this day, the motive for the attack is not officially determined.
