- We have a release date for the smaller 43mm OnePlus Watch 3
- It starts to roll out on July 8
- It is said that it is “full of specifications that are the full version of the full size”
When I assessed the OnePlus Watch 3 two months ago (at the time of writing), I said it was already a competition for the Best Android Smartwatch from 2025. I loved the stainless steel, classic aesthetic and excellent battery life, but my biggest complaint was a style: it was a large, heavy metal watch and only came in one size.
As a sports watch, that is a major disadvantage. One of the reasons why the Best Apple -watches Being so popular is that they offer watches of different sizes, so that people with smaller and larger wrists can find a watch that feels like it belongs to them arm.
I have rated Fitness Tech for many years, I know search terms such as’ smallest Apple Watch‘And’ Best Smartwatch For Women ‘are popular on Google. Customers who do not want to wear large, thick timepieces, or is now due to aesthetics or comfort, are unfortunately limited in choice.
Fortunately, OnePlus listened to our complaints. In mine OnePlus Watch 3 ReviewI wrote: “My most important complaint is the size of the watch: at the time of writing the first early review, I said I would have liked to see that OnePlus would bring a second, smaller model to people with smaller wrists. Many people, including many women, will find that it is just too big and heavy for daily clothing.
“During my tests, however, OnePlus published the news that there would be a second, smaller size, together with LTE options for future models, and my fears had been driven out.”
OnePlus had already revealed that there was a smaller size, but not whenNeither did we have other details about it. Would it have the same specifications as the larger model? What about the battery life? Would it still be a OnePlus Watch 3, or a little closer to an Apple style ‘SE’ model? For months we had no answers to these burning questions.
Today published in an exclusive interview with TechRadarCelina Shi – Chief Marketing Officer at OnePlus Europe – finally spilled the beans on the release date of the new watch and even gave an image – the photo above. At first glance, the 43 mm looks much more Pixel watch-Y then the full 47 mm Watch 3.
“In February of this year we launched our latest flagship Wearable, The OnePlus Watch 3. It was very popular because of the enormous battery life, accurate GPS and health and welfare statistics,” Celina said. “We bring a smaller iteration of this device that is perfect for people with smaller wrists – but don’t underestimate it.
“It is packed with specifications that the full version of the full size, as well as exclusive security functions that are not found on another device will be available in tight silver steel!”
It sounds like it gets at least one exclusive function, although we don’t know any details about it. It will also pack specifications that match the 47mm version of the watch.
The best part? It will be launched on July 8, just a few weeks away, along with a whole series of other OnePlus devices such as the OnePlus Nord 5, the OnePlus Buds 4 and the OnePlus Pad Lite.
