Typos, the election commission says, admit errors in the data
The election commission on Sunday acknowledged errors in the opinion polls released for the ongoing elections Jharkhand Assembly Electionsand called them “typographical errors”.
The errors related to polling station details, voter numbers, and demographic data for various constituencies during the first phase of elections on November 13 and the upcoming second one on November 20.
The state’s chief electoral officer said the errors occurred while releasing constituency-specific details, including polling stations, their locations and population figures for male, female and third-gender voters, on October 15 – the day the election dates were announced.
