An alleged underworld criminal syndicate has been arrested and millions of dollars worth of ice, GHB, weapons, jewelry and cash have been found in three states.
Three men, including one carrying a suitcase containing more than 16 kilograms of ice, were arrested in Sydney on Wednesday, plus two more in Perth this morning.
That led to a series of raids in Sydney’s inner city and the discovery of a secret methamphetamine lab and $1.5 million in cash at a house near Sydney airport.
Another 50kg of methamphetamine hidden in industrial plastic rolls was found in a nearby property, as well as 100 liters of GBL – a commonly used date-rape drug that converts to GHB in the body.

That led to a series of raids on inner-city Sydney and the discovery of a secret methamphetamine lab and $1.5 million in cash at a house near Sydney airport.
The two Sydney men, aged 36 and 41, were charged with commercial drug importation and large commercial drug supply.
The elderly man was also charged with using a weapon to avoid lawful detention and assaulting a police officer.
Both men were denied bail and will appear in court at Downing Center on November 15.
A 37-year-old man arrested at the makeshift drug lab was charged with two counts of drug supply and knowingly allowing their home to be used as a drug shack.
He was denied bail and will appear in court in Newtown on September 29.
A series of illegal high-capacity guns were also seized during the raids on Wednesday
The operation then moved to the other states, with police raiding properties in Western Australia and Queensland.
Seven kilograms of methamphetamine, more than $250,000 in cash, watches and jewelry worth approximately $150,000 and a small amount of cocaine were found in an industrial unit and apartments in Perth’s northern suburbs.
There, two men – aged 32 and 34 – were arrested at the industrial unit and charged with trafficking a commercial amount of methamphetamine and the proceeds of crime.
Both were denied bail to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday morning
