Upcoming Jaguar EV may ditch the rear window and reveal new teasers
Jaguar has unveiled a teaser for its upcoming electric vehicle (EV) concept, the ‘Design Vision Concept’. The new teaser hints at the new design language of the vehicle, which will make its debut on December 2 during Miami Art Week. According to the company’s recent teasers, the vehicle marked a departure from traditional designs, with the exception of a rear window. Instead, a camera system provides a rear view via a digital interior mirror.
Next-generation Jaguar EV teaser revealed
The company presented the new teasers on its official X-handle. The teaser shows the rear of the car without a rear window. Instead, the photo shows a new design, which looks somewhat like an air cooling panel. Additionally, another teaser image revealed that the company might add a digital mirror. The image shows what appears to be a camera behind a fold-out panel displaying the company’s new logo. The new concept showcases a bold aesthetic with wide proportions, flowing curves and sharp lines.

The vehicle, which is expected to preview a four-door electric Grand Tourer, will be one of three new EV models planned for 2026, according to reports. The production versions are estimated to deliver more than 575 horsepower and a driving range of more than 700 kilometers. The starting price is expected to be over £100,000.
The decision to remove the rear window draws comparisons to the Polestar 4, a model launched earlier this year without traditional rear glass. Polestar cited the increased headroom for rear passengers as justification, while Jaguar’s approach appears to be focused on aesthetic and functional modernization, according to sources. Critics argue that removing the rear window adds unnecessary complexity and potential safety issues.
