'Usual tactic to attack PM Modi': BJP slams Rahul Gandhi's response to US charges against Adani
BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra
NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his attack on the central government after US prosecutors accused industrialist Gautam Adani of bribery and fraud and said his tactic is to attack India and the structures that defend the country, as he did in the United States. Rafale issue.
While addressing a media spokesperson, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra said the Congress leader said they are doing the work of the judiciary while talking about the charges against Adani and added, “where the mother-son duo ( Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi) is not on bail they are doing the work of the judiciary! Half of them are out on bail and they are doing the work of the judiciary!”
“Today Rahul Gandhi again held a press conference. Again he showed the same behavior and set things up the same way he has done so far. There was nothing new in PC. He has a few names, ways of doing that on PC and trying to level allegations against BJP and Prime Minister Modi,” Patra said in a press article.

“I remember Rahul Gandhi had appeared in a similar manner on the Rafale issue in 2019. He had claimed that there would be a big reveal. During the Covid pandemic, he similarly held press conferences about vaccines. later had to apologize to the Supreme Court,” he added.
The comments came after Gandhi addressed US prosecutors’ claims that Adani and associates paid $250 million in bribes to Indian officials. He emphasized that the businessman had violated both Indian and American law.

“The Prime Minister is involved in corruption with Adani,” says Rahul

The Leader of the Opposition took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra’s rhetoric in the poll saying ‘ek hain, safe hain’ and said PM Modi did not have ‘the ability to arrest Adani’ as the entire ‘BJP structure was funded by Adani’.
“If Narendra Modi and Adani are together, they are safe in India. In India, nothing can be done to Adani. Here, the Prime Minister is sent to jail and Adani walks free after committing a Rs 2,000 crore scam. Because Narendra Modi is protecting them,” he said.

“We have raised this again and again… we have raised it with the Madhabi Buch issue, and it is a vindication of what we have said. The Prime Minister is protecting Adani and the Prime Minister is involved in corruption with Adani. This is clearly stated.”
Meanwhile, at today’s press conference on the US allegations, Patra said: “Today we are seeing in the media since this morning an issue about a company. There is a case against that company in the US. There are accusations and counter-accusations. We are clear about it convinced that, as far as the company and the case against it are concerned, the company will make a statement and defend itself. Justice will take its own course.”
‘Your mother, Congress and you have been trying to diminish Prime Minister Modi’s credibility since 2002’
He also stated that the whole matter is about agreements on power purchase and agreements on state distribution companies (SDCs). For the distribution of electricity between the US and India, there are two companies: an Indian company and an American company.
“The names of four Indian states appear before the US court… This case dates from July 2021 to February 2022. At that time, the Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government was in power in Chhattisgarh… In Andhra Pradesh, it was the YSRCP government in Chhattisgarh. In Tamil Nadu it was the DMK government – from your ally Stalin Odisha it was the BJD government. All four states mentioned in the document had neither Ministers nor a government supported by us. They all had a government of Congress and its allies. Rahul Gandhi said he has no objection if any of his former ministers or leaders are questioned… Rahul Gandhi, this is not your first attempt to reduce power. the credibility of Prime Minister Modi. Your mother, your party and you have been trying to do this since 2002…’ he added.

He also recalled the time when Gautam Adani donated Rs 100 crore for Young India Skills University to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and said if the Adani Group chairman was corrupt then why did he accept the donation.

BJP’s Amit Malviya questions timing of Adani charges report, says Congress ready to support George Soros

BJP leader Amit Malviya on Thursday said that all the states mentioned in the alleged bribery scandals are ruled by the opposition.
He also said the timing of the report, just before the session of Parliament and the “imminent” presidency of Donald Trump, raises several questions.
“But be that as it may, the essence of the allegation is that US and Indian companies agreed to supply 12 GW of power to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This was conditional on SECI entering into a PPA with state-owned electricity distribution companies. There was a partnership between Adani Green Energy and an American renewable energy source, Azure Power, where Azure was allocated 4 GW and Adani Green Energy 8 MW,” Malviya said on X.
“Therefore, between July, the Adanis (in collusion with Azure Power; an American company) paid the equivalent of $265 million to SDCs based in Odisha (BJD ruled), Tamilnadu (DMK), Chattisgarh (Congress) and Andhra Pradesh (YSRCP). February 21 and 22 (by far the largest for AP),” he added.

He further stated that all the states mentioned in the allegations were ruled by the opposition at the time.
The BJP leader also said that an Indian court could similarly, on legitimate grounds, accuse US companies of bribing US government officials to deny them access to Indian markets.
‘Should we then allow the law to take its course and the business community involved defend itself or insert itself into the domestic politics of a foreign country? Don’t get unnecessarily excited. The timing of the report, just before the session of Parliament and the meeting of Donald Trump, The upcoming presidency raises several questions that Congress is willing to be a pillar in the hands of George Soros and his cabal speaks volumes,” said Malviya on X.
