Alison (@alisonistoxinfree) shared the Dollar Tree DIY in a TikTok video.

“You could stack these just a few high and place them somewhere with little exposure to the wind. I don’t think you need any equipment at all, they fit together perfectly,” she said.

“I no longer have a farm and have to garden in a small space, and on top of that we rent.”

She showed off the completed 10-tier planter and used $1.25 worth of three-piece pots she found.

“You’ll see a lot of different ways people make these online, but we get a lot of wind in my area and I want them to be stable and safe,” she said.

To increase stability, she explained she hammered a metal rod into the ground to secure the planters.

“You can also use a broomstick, a garden post, a pole or whatever you like,” she added.

She then drilled a hole in the center of the pots and began stacking them on the rod.

“Build your tower. Stick the rod into the ground, use a washer between each planter and then a bolt to secure the pots together,” she said.

“It’s literally that simple, this is a great option for people who don’t have a lot of space.

By planting the right herbs in your garden, you prevent annoying pests. Adding ‘living mulch’ also prevents weeds

“No matter how you make this planter, it is extremely affordable and uses space very efficiently, allowing you to grow many plants in a small area.”

People were inspired by her video to do the project themselves.

“I just scheduled mine today! I can’t wait to start growing!” said one commenter.

“Love this! Thanks for the idea,” said another.
