Victoria congratulated her husband and shared a beloved photo on Instagram and wrote: ‘You have always been my knight in radiant armor, but now it is official. Sir David !!! What an honor, I couldn’t be more proud of you.

‘Your dedication to the things that matter the most – your country, your work, your passion and especially your family – never hesitate.

“The way in which you have touched so many lives with kindness and humility over the years speaks volumes about the man you are and will inspire us every day.”

David explained himself ‘extremely proud’ when he finally received a knighthood after being hunted for years.

He said he “could never have imagined that I would receive such a real humiliating honor,” because his Spice Girl -Victoria also becomes Lady Beckham.

The former football captain of England previously missed a ‘red flag’ from the tax man in 2014.

But that was all behind him today, because Sir David proudly led the king’s birthday honors who recognized 1200 people, from community champions to cultural icons.

The day before Sir David got the honor, he was seen with the king during a St James’s Paleisceremony for the Foundation of the Prince, of which the retired football player is an ambassador. He has been made a knight for his services to sports and for a good cause.

He said, “Growing up in East with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I could never have imagined that I would receive such a real humiliating honor.”

He is a knight made for his services to sport and charity, after working with UNICEF and campaign with Malaria No More, a good cause to eradicate the disease.

Sir David was made an OBE in 2003 and has been in the race for a knighthood for more than a decade.
