Video: Waiter dragged 1 km over unpaid bill at Maharashtra restaurant – Times of India


NEW DELHI: A waiter at a restaurant in Maharashtra’s Beed district was dragged for nearly a kilometre after he asked three youths to pay their bill.
The disturbing incident took place on Saturday on the Mehkar-Pandharpur Palkhi highway and was captured on video now circulating on social media.
The footage shows the waiter desperately trying to stop the car by opening the door. The driver is undeterred and continues driving, while the waiter clings to the car.

According to reports, three men had stopped at a roadside hotel for a meal. After eat their foodThe group returned to their car and asked the waiter to bring a UPI QR code scanner so they could make their payment. However, when the waiter walked to their car with the scanner, things took a dark turn.
The men reportedly started an argument with the waiter and eventually refused to pay the bill. When they tried to flee in their vehicle, the waiter jumped at the driver in a desperate attempt to stop them. However, the driver refused to stop and dragged the waiter for about a kilometer before leaving behind.
Authorities are investigating the case and trying to identify the perpetrators.
