Matildas star Ellie Carpenter has made the decision with her teammate Daniëlle Van de Donk in a breathtaking ceremony Came almost 18 months after they fianved themselves.
The 25-year-old met the love of her life when they both played for the best French side Lyon and the Aussie unveiled their wedding in a post to Instagram on Wednesday evening.

Van de Donk’s dress was made by leading Bridal Merkpronovias, while the dress of Carpenter – which contained a veil – was made by Collingwood – based clothing maker Mia Ateliers, with the football star describing it as ‘the dress of my dreams’.

The ceremony – the center of three days of parties – was held in the Château Hermitage de Combas in the Serbian region in South France.
