Viewers wonder the same thing as the Mums On Strike star gives her sloppy husband an ultimatum
The concept of mother and wife strikes has become popular in recent times as women re-evaluate their roles in the household.
Channel 5’s Mums On Strike has left viewers shocked at what some women have to endure from their families.
In tonight’s episode, 40-year-old Simone reaches her final straw over her husband Michael’s messy habits.
The Brummy couple said it was love at first sight when they first met at the Hard Rock Café.
But since then, the relationship between the two has not been so smooth.
After having her 10-year-old daughter Mia, Simone hoped her husband would be a little less messy.
Michael, a professionally trained chef, continued to create spectacle in the kitchen.
However, this did mean that Simone was constantly busy tidying up not only the dishes, but also other areas of the house.
She complained on camera about her husband’s enormous sports shoe collection.
Simone admitted that she considered moving to assisted living to escape the endless chores.
To make it a little less extreme, she decided to go away for a while and get pampered.
As they watched Michael struggle to keep the household running, Channel 5 viewers all had similar things to say.
“I said it last week and I’ll say it again: why are these couples even still together?” someone asked.
They subsequently described the couple as ‘pathetic’ because of their messy lifestyle.
“I COMPLETELY understand where these moms are coming from,” said one sympathetic viewer.
“I think daddy needs to exercise more, like vacuuming or running up the stairs,” another fan joked.
And it wasn’t just women who could identify with what they saw in the episode.

Men vs. Women: Who’s in?
Men spend 7 hours and 54 minutes per week cleaning.
Women spend 12 hours and 15 minutes per week cleaning.
“It was a bad move watching Mums On Strike with my old lady!!” one man joked.
Others, however, saw no problem with the couple’s cleaning arrangement.
“Mothers who strike don’t know how lucky they are,” wrote one viewer.
“Millions of women pick up their kids, take them to school, go to work, pick up their kids, make dinner, serve it, and still have… [to do] the washing, ironing, all the cleaning and then getting started at 9pm.”
Another person called the husbands on the show “assholes” for not helping their wives more.
