Vivo X200 leak suggests it may debut with Dimensity 9400 chipset in China
The Vivo X200 is rumored to launch in China this year alongside two other handsets in the series. It will debut as a successor to the Vivo X100 series that was launched in China in November 2023. Over the past few weeks, rumors have surfaced regarding the alleged designs and specifications of the smartphones, hinting at the possible upgrades on display. A new leak, courtesy of a tipster on a social media platform, offers insight into the processor and camera specs of the standard variant in the series — the Vivo X200.
Vivo X200 specs leak
In a after On Chinese social media platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) shared specifications of an upcoming smartphone. While the tipster didn’t specify which device it could be, reports have claimed that it could be the alleged Vivo X200. The handset is said to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 SoC under the hood.
It is also said to feature a thin chassis, measuring around 8.xmm in thickness. As per the tipster, the alleged Vivo X200 could feature a 6.3-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. In terms of optics, it could feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, 70mm focal length, and macro capabilities.
The smartphone is said to be backed by a 5,500 or 5,600 mAh “super-large” battery with support for wireless charging.
Vivo X200 design (expected)
According to a report, a dummy unit of the Vivo X200 was leaked earlier this month, which hinted at its possible design. The rear panel of the smartphone appears to feature a centrally placed circular module surrounded by a silver ring. The front-facing camera is said to be housed in a centered punch-hole slot at the top of the panel, while the entire display could be slightly curved.
The bottom edge of the handset is said to feature the speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, alongside a microphone and a SIM tray slot. The power button and volume rockers appear to occupy the left spine of the smartphone.
