And with Christmas just around the corner, this year’s toy event saw bargain-mad Aldi shoppers pile their trolleys high – with dozens of customers queuing outside since 7am despite the cold weather.

One of those keen to get their hands on the popular children’s essentials was mum Wallis Eve, who shared the manic scenes inside and outside the German retailer on TikTok.

The now viral videowhich has racked up over a whopping 2.1 million views in just one day, saw scores of money-conscious Brits queuing at the entrance in the early morning hours.

According to Wallis, even though she reached the store at 6:30 a.m., there were already several bargain hunters in front of her.

Once the money-conscious mum managed to sneak into Aldi, the store was already packed with customers wanting to buy everything they could from the highly anticipated event.

Like Wallis (@walliseve.x) was filming the sheer chaos in the supermarket, she saw fellow Aldi fans pushing their trolleys full of boxes of toys.

While some contained just a few toys, other shoppers appeared to have grabbed as much as they could – one shopper, the clip showed, appeared to have taken as many as ten boxes of goodies.

This was then beaten by another bargain lover who had at least sixteen toys thrown into their shopping cart as they walked around the store.

It’s bad news for those who still haven’t had a chance to check out the epic sale, because according to the mom, there was barely anything left afterward.

”Can confirm that most of everything they had in stock was gone by the time I left at 8:30am.”

Luckily for Wallis, mother of a beautiful baby girl, she managed to get her hands on piles of the viral toys, including the popular baking set.

“I asked if they had anything I was looking for and they were happy enough to take a look,” she explained in a follow up video showing off her monster catch.

Look what you can get your hands on this year.

The list includes, in no particular order:

Among the popular bargains were a dental set, £9.99, takeaway set, £9.99, hot chocolate set with biscuits, £9.99, air fryer, £9.99, donut box, £6.99, as well as a wooden dollhouse furniture set for £14.99 .

The lucky customer also went home with a circus train set worth €14.99, a wooden coffee maker worth €9.99 and a box of neatly decorated cupcakes that cost her €6.99.

‘This is ridiculous’

The shopping craze has taken the internet by storm, sending many social media into a frenzy.

One joked: “And they criticized kids for queuing for Prime.”

Another criticized the store, writing: ‘Aldi should stop people buying in bulk. It’s not fair to a lot of people.”

“The shame is great,” said a third.

Someone else added: ”I hope if (when) people see this online for three times the normal price they don’t buy it. Leave the greedy few behind with their purchases.”

“This is ridiculous,” a fifth was stunned by the toy mania.

Aldi claims this year’s range of wooden toys is the “largest ever” and shoppers can expect the same “great value” as the 2023 set.

This comes as rival Lidl announced its own range of wooden toys.
