Watch: Siddaramaiah’s security breached as man runs towards podium – Times of India

NEW DELHI: In an important security breach of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, an unidentified man tried to step onto the dais where the Prime Minister was sitting during a Democracy Day event in Bengaluru on Sunday.
The incident, captured on video, shows a young man running towards the CM before being stopped by security personnel.
The man, later identified as Mahadev Nayakwas arrested for violating security protocols. Reports said that Nayak had planned to tie a scarf on the CM, but in reality, he was arrested for violating security protocols.

“A person named Mahadev Nayak was taken into custody after he tried to give a shawl to CM Siddaramaiah. He had a valid pass and correct identities. But since he tried to give a shawl to CM. This was an offence. He has been arrested as per the procedures,” a police official said.
Prime Minister Siddaramaiah remained unhurt on stage during the incident, while the man was detained for questioning.
