Watch the brutal moment the bride’s sister makes fun of her £4.3k dream wedding dress
CHOOSING your wedding dress is no easy task.
And for some bridesIt can be a blessing to have brutally honest family members around who can help them make the right choice.
So did Emily Horton, who discovered that her sister was deeply shocked by some of her marriage candidates.
The bride-to-be visited luxury store Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City to find the perfect wedding dress for her big day.
She brought along her mother Jamie, sister Madison, brother Johnathan and father Randy and tried on three designer dresses.
But the second wedding dress she put on was a bombshell for her loved ones.

Emily’s fitting was aired on TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress, with show producers reveal that the Horton family “hated” the bride-to-be’s “simple” choices.
The first dress she tested was described by her sister Madison as “a white pocket stitched down the middle.”
But it was the second dress Emily wore that her talkative sister liked the least.
The second dress was the Sareh Nouri #AFTERGLOW style: a round neck wedding dress with a jacquard fabric and an A-line fit, and a large bow on the back.
“As sweet as it is sophisticated, this A-line dress is crafted from floral jacquard fabric,” reads one text.
“The round neckline flows elegantly into a breathtaking open backline, adorned with a detachable bow, before flowing into an aisle-ready train.
“Plus it has pockets!”
But the £4,329 sum was not a big hit with Madison, who said she was “terrified” of it.
“This dress is worse,” she criticized.
“I’m afraid.
“Someone help.”
Luckily, the Horton family were completely in love with the third dress Emily tried on: a £6,350 Reem Acra dress.
“It’s so perfect – Emily looks like a bride,” Madison said as tears filled her eyes.
“It’s amazing.”
How to choose the perfect wedding dress?
Wedding season is in full swing, but when it comes to picking out the perfect dress, most brides-to-be are probably clueless.
Josie Griffiths, deputy editor of Fabulous Digital and bride-to-be, is getting married in August 2024 and has shared her top tips…
- Give yourself time – unless you are a sample size, dresses can take months to arrive. Don’t stress yourself out by looking too late, in my opinion, dress shopping should be second on your list, right after you find a venue.
- Visit multiple stores. You are not supposed to buy anything on your first visit.
- But not too many – just like an asshole who can’t stop swiping on Tinder, too much choice won’t help you find The One.
- Bring people with you – women who are honest but also give you credit, unlike the mean family members in Say Yes To The Dress, and ideally people from different parts of your life who don’t automatically say the same thing. I went shopping with my mother and two best friends, who didn’t know each other and had different styles.
- Think again – I went back to the store before I made my final decision on the dress I chose and tried it on again with my second favorite just to make sure I was sure. It’s an expensive purchase and you can’t return it like you can with your next Asos order, so take some time to think about it.
