Watch the father of the bride proudly walk down the aisle, but can you spot his mistake?
WHEN it comes to weddings, we are often overwhelmed by the loved-up feelings that the day brings.
But a proud father of the bride made an epic blunder as he walked down the aisle that will go down in history.
Neil Crossley, 60, was getting ready to take his daughter Amy Totty, 30, to the altar to start her new life as a married woman.
The bride looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder white dress as she got married on October 4 at Holmfirth Vineyards in Yorkshire.
But in a moment of miscommunication between Neil and the location staff, her father accidentally stole the spotlight.
Neil started walking down the aisle confidently, but he forgot one important detail: the bride.
As he walked down the aisle to her husband-to-be Harry Totty, 29, without the blushing bride, people were left in hysterics.
He made it to the end of the aisle before the venue staff walked up behind him to remind him that the bride would be by his side.
Fortunately, no vows were exchanged between Harry and Neil in the accident, and Amy was able to experience her wedding moment.
The entire room was left in hysterics as Neil walked back down the aisle for a second time, this time with his daughter in tow.
After the ceremony, Neil was able to make a last-minute joke about the blunder in his speech at the reception.
Neil, a teacher from BarnsleyYorkshire, said: “After the first fumble it felt really funny for everyone, including myself.
“I even managed to work it into my ‘Father of the Bride’ speech at the reception afterwards.
“The joke I made about the guests thinking I was at the wrong wedding got a huge laugh, so everyone took it in good spirits.”
Amy, a nurse from Barnsley, Yorkshire, took the moment quite literally, adding that it made her wedding even more memorable.
She said: “It was just pure miscommunication between my father and the staff.
Who usually gives a speech at a wedding?
ACCORDING TO THE ALT WEDDING website, the traditional list for a wedding toast or speech is:

2. The groom
3. The best man
4. And any other toast
However, they added them place: “But not every couple or family structure fits into that tradition. It is also becoming increasingly popular for the bridesmaid or bridesmaids to give a speech as well as the bride!
“(Something we love).”
‘He thought they had told him to walk, when in fact they had said wait for me!
“It was just perfect timing because he made me, my husband and all our dear friends and family laugh.
“I especially appreciated it because I tried really hard not to cry and he helped me compose myself.
“It was a special moment that none of us will forget.”
