Watch the moment a man takes a vacuum cleaner to Wetherspoons and leaves punters stunned
WANT to know if your brand new cordless vacuum cleaner is really suitable for your job?
Why not do what this pub-goer did and give it a try at your local Wetherspoons?
Greg Bobinski decided that his brand new vacuum cleaner needed a real test drive to see if it was getting value for money.
He then decided to give the carpet from his local Wetherspoon in Otley a try and was amazed at how much dirt and grime his new purchase collected.
Greg, who works as a support worker in his spare time and is also an artist and comedian, shared the test on a TikTok channel that went viral, with locals seemingly confused by his antics.
To make sure the vacuuming was worth every penny, Greg didn’t just clean a small section of the pub, but made sure to get every nook and cranny in.

The Wetherspoons staff didn’t mind the help either, as Greg said the manager had given him permission to tidy up.
After he finished collecting dust, Greg emptied the contents of the vacuum and showed it off in another video on social media.
As you would expect, there was plenty herdirt and other random bits of junk.
But the test was not in vain: Greg revealed that he wants to make a work of art from the contents of the vacuum cleaner and frame it.
“Just as gross as I thought,” one person commented on the video.
“Please come vacuum the spoons near me, the floor stinks,” wrote a second.
Others praised Greg for cleaning the carpet, with one saying, “He’s doing God’s work.”
Another agreed: “Not all heroes wear capes.”
Why do pubs have such strange carpets?
Visitors to the ‘Primark of pubs’ have long wondered why the chain has such colourful and varied carpets.
And now Jon Randall, head of property development and acquisitions at Wetherspoon, has revealed why the carpet is so colourful.
He previously revealed that the pub likes to put emphasis on the design of its pubs, to invest in every respect and especially the renovation.
He said: “All of our new pub carpets are individually designed, some with details that reflect aspects of the buildings. history or local environment.”
However, fans of the chain noted that the carpet may have another reason for the unusual patterns: to hide dirt.
“They have these weird rugs to hide dirt,” someone commented on Greg’s clip.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?
FREE refills – Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.
View a map – Prices may vary by location, even if they are close to each other.
So if you’re planning on having a pint at Spoons, it’s worth checking out nearby pubs to see if you can find the cheapest spot there.
Choose your day – Every evening the pub chain organizes certain theme nights with food.
For example, every Thursday evening there is a curry club, where guests can get a main course and a drink for a fixed price, at a lower price than normal.
Pick-up vouchers – Students can often buy voucher books at their local university, which will give them discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.
Become an appy – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drinks and food from your table. However, you don’t have to be in the pub to use the app.
Cheeky customers are taking full advantage of this and are using social media to ask their friends and family to order drinks for them. The app is free to download from the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date – Every year, Spoons hosts its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub sector.
Normally it takes place in September, last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.
In addition to the 12-day Real Ale Festival that takes place every autumn, Wetherspoons also hosts a Spring Festival.
