Watch the terrifying moment a car is hit by a bus at a busy intersection in Adelaide
Shocking footage has emerged of a car being hit by a bus in South Australia.
Dashcam footage showed a bus colliding with a small silver car in Glenunga, in Adelaide’s south-east, over the weekend.
The car, driven by an elderly woman, was attempting to turn from Portrush Road onto Bevington Road when the car collided with an oncoming bus and crashed into another car waiting at the junction to turn left.
“Oh no, what happened?” said one woman in disbelief after witnessing the accident.
Footage of the incident was shared on the Facebook group Dashcams Adelaide, with the caption: ‘How could they not see the bus?’
The clip was viewed thousands of times and received thousands of comments.
“I guess they saw the bus but thought they still had time to cross,” said one viewer.
Another added: ‘I feel for the poor guy who does nothing wrong and still gets beaten.’

A third person wrote: ‘It appeared the person in the car misjudged the distance to the bus… and didn’t accelerate hard enough to make the turn.’
Many said they felt ‘sorry for the bus driver’ and the passengers on the bus, while others wondered why the driver didn’t slow down.
The 91-year-old woman driving the car was not seriously injured but was taken to hospital, according to Seven news.
She was later fined for failing to yield right of way.
No one on the bus was seriously injured.
Daily Mail Australia contacted South Australia Police for further comment.
