As a 33 year old who is petite and a size 18, it is often difficult to find clothes that fit my height and curves.

Meanwhile, my work friend Lynn, 44, is a stunning size 10 but sometimes feels self-conscious about her mum.

We worked together to find the best size-inclusive fashion inspiration for our fellow shoppers by trying on the same clothes in different sizes.

A range of high street favorites have been put to the test to see what works – and whether shops really offer something for everyonebody‘.

We recently scooped up Peacocks in AW24, packing the perfect fluffy cream coat and gray sweater.

But it was our chicer piece that was a real (Christmas) stunner and flattered both of our figures.

The silver pleated midi skirt costs £22 and is available in sizes eight to size 24.

Peacocks bosses describe it on the website: “Elevate your style this season with this silver midi skirt.

“This versatile piece is made from a super soft, metallic fabric with a front zip and popper fastening, side pockets, belt loops and front slit. It goes well with everything from a slogan T-shirt and trainers to boots and a coarse knit.”

And it is also WAG approved, because it is part of the Louise Redknapp collection.

We have sizes 10 and 18 and did a New Look winter run – it’s a burgundy dream and boots pass the fat test

Despite sitting longer than the advertised midi length on our shorter frames, the stylish slit at the front means it still looks flattering – so don’t be put off if you’re a petite girl.

It can easily be dressed up for Christmas party nights with heels and a black bodysuit. Or pair it with sneakers and a band T-shirt for a performance.

We both completely agree that it makes a bold statement, yet remains stylish. And a snap instead of a button at the waist is strangely satisfying.

So far we’ve put Sainsbury’s Tu Clothing autumn collection to the test and have come away with some fantastic wardrobe staples, including an £18 leopard print dress that will suit any occasion.

Meanwhile, River Island impressed with their fall fashion – and we discovered the jacket of the season.

We have also found the best alternative the viral sweater from Primark, as well as a number of surprising jeans and trousers that should no longer be missing from the AW24.

Elsewhere, we scooped up the £40 wedding guest dream dress that flatters all shapes in Quiz – and scooped up the best burgundy pick in New Look.
