We have sizes 10 and 18 and have found the most flattering fall coat you need for running

THE weather is definitely starting to change – and it’s officially coat season.

Fall is probably my favorite time of year because I can’t wait to throw on cozy sweaters, hats and scarves.

But choosing the perfect coat can be tricky, especially if you’re trying to flatter different body shapes.

Mine work Bestie and I visit regularly the office in virtually identical looks – whether nighttime curls or animal print everything – with colleagues often criticizing us for being clothing clones.

I’m a 44 year old size 10 with a bit mom tum that I always try to hide.

Meanwhile, my friend Katy, 33, is a size 10 curvy goddess.

None of us Love anything too tacky or too young – but we also love fashion.

In an effort to provide some size-inclusive inspiration for the over-30s, we’re testing the same outfits in different sizes from a range of high street favorites to see what works – and whether stores really have something to offer for everyone.body‘.

While filming our latest fashion collection from River Island, we discovered the coat of the season – and, mind you, it’s a leopard print.

This jaquard coat is made of such a beautiful, quality material that it almost feels like upholstery. It feels incredibly expensive, coming in at £95.

And while that may be a little more than you would normally pay for a jacket, I truly believe this is an investment piece.

But more about the price later, first about the fit.

The jacket is available in sizes 6 to 18, so it’s fairly inclusive, and we picked it up in sizes 10 and 18.

It’s definitely true to size as we were both happy with the way it looked, it felt roomy and comfortable without drowning either of us.

And it’s the perfect balance between cozy and not too heavy, ideal for this shoulder season that can go from stormy and cool to freezing – all in an afternoon.

It also goes with everything. And I’m not exaggerating here.

So far I have combined with with a smart black dress for work, leggings and an oversized t-shirt for a crisp autumn walk, with jeans and a sweater for shopping with a friend and over a sparkly skater for a dinner in the city.

That’s where the price tag comes in because, by girlish calculations, considering the wear and tear I know I’ll get out of it if it does, this jacket is an absolute steal.

But it’s not just us who love the spotty coat; fashion fans everywhere are loving the look.

One said: “The perfect coat.”

Another wrote: “It’s so dreamy.”

While a third commented: “I just went leopard crazy too.”

It’s not the first incredible find we’ve discovered on our fashion forays.

As well as the coat of the season, we also came across the most perfect dress for autumn – and it was a super soft supermarket find for just £18.
