A COUPLE were left speechless after making a £25,000 discovery while renovating their home.
Josh and Emily Brooks thought they had bought a standard house in Walthamstow, London, but they were shocked when they ripped out the carpet.

When they removed the carpet, they found a diamond-quality parquet floor in “perfect condition.”
The floor continued into the hallway and the living room.
Josh, 37, and Emily, 38, rushed to call a flooring specialist, who estimated its value at between £20,000 and £25,000.
The duo shared their incredible discovery on TikTok and the video has now been viewed a whopping 2.6 million times.

“That was when we first saw the floor,” Josh said.
The video shows Josh pulling away layers of carpet before he and Emily walk it out audible pants.
“Oh my god,” Josh said.
“When we visited the house we had seen a small corner, but when we saw that it was a diamond parquet floor that was in perfect condition, we were overwhelmed.
“We had a flooring specialist come and have a look and he told us it was some of the best oak he had ever seen and was in excellent condition.
He continued: “Given the floor space it occupies, we are looking at [a worth of] maybe £20,000-25,000.
“We’re going to keep it like this and sand it fine and finish it with varnish or stain.”
The video has probably impressed many people, as it has received more than 262,000 likes and over a thousand comments on the video platform.
A TikTok user said, “You won the floor lottery!”
A second person said: “The wood floor is amazing! Bye old lady carpet!”
