Subscription boxes more than had their moment in the midst of the pandemic.

While people were stuck inside, the demand for delivered treats and gifts soared, and the industry boomed – with businesses who had never considered a mailable service switching up tactics.

But what you might not know is that the subscription box world is still very much alive – in fact, it’s absolutely thriving.

Some are suited to a very specific need – while others could be the perfect gift. We tried out dozens of boxes from bath and beauty, to dinner on demand, to stationary from the other side of the world, to tell you which are worth your money.

FEMAIL tells you all about the best (and worst) of the bunch below…

How we test subscription boxes

The MailOnline Femail team conducted thorough testing of 26 subscription boxes from some of the best named brands. We assessed price, how well they live up to claims, as well as packaging and design.

When it comes to reviewing such a variety of products, it was important we allow different people with different preferences to all give their verdict.

Our team reflects a representation of the general consumer market, so you can trust the products we recommend as great – as well as the ones to avoid.

BEST CRAFT KIT

Rating:

What’s inside? Assorted stationary from Japan, curated for the season.

Verdict: Calling all cat lovers and stationary addicts – I have the perfect subscription for you.

Neko Neko Post is a gorgeously curated, seasonal subscription that ships directly out of Japan – bringing (mostly) cat themed stationary to the rest of the world. From the moment you receive your package you know you have something special.

The envelope is adorned with colourful Japanese stamps, which can easily be peeled off the package for use in your journal. But it’s once you’re inside that Neko Neko Post really shines.

Even the packaging is gorgeous. The products are wrapped neatly in a brown paper bag designed by the company – with images of lucky cats and the feline companions of the two company owners, Pippin and Maro.

Before you even get inside the subscription, you’re met with a package of freebies – including a branded sticker and a number of Sakura-themed papers and stickers. That’s your first hint at the theme – Spring in Japan.

Neko Neko Post delivered to my door a stunning selection of stickers, 3D cards, notepaper and gold foiled washi tape, perfect for anybody who keeps a journal. Also included were a set of mildliner brush pens, which are a favourite in Japan.

The stand-out item for me was a beautiful 3D card, which pictured an orange cat sat in front of a tree full of blooming sakura. Not only is this perfect for sending to a friend, but it makes a stunning decorative piece. A letter set adorned with beautifully illustrated cats came in a close second place.

Is it worth the money? It’s hard to find a bad word to say about Neko Neko Post. The subscription is so thoughtfully curated, with every element chosen for seamless use with the rest. If you’re a stationary fan, I couldn’t recommend them more.

Rating:

What’s inside? Stickers designed by independent artists in three themes – cute, vintage and pop.

Verdict:  Still in the world of stationary, Stickii Club brings (you guessed it) sheets of gorgeously designed stickers straight to your door every month.

The subscription offers three varied sticker packs to suit every taste, which are always delivered with at least three stationary items and a storage insert.

We received one of each – the Duck Duck Chick cute pack, the Artist’s Bouquet vintage pack, and the So Groovy pop pack.

Each came with at least seven sheets of stickers, which were largely designed by independent artists that Stickii Club works with each month. Also included were matching die-cut stickers, and typically a small, beautiful notepad that suits the theme.

In the vintage pack, we received a small book full to the brim with stunning scrapbook paper, which was the perfect addition to a journal page themed around the set.

Each of the themes were so thoughtfully designed, and worked so well together that it was difficult to not use just one more sticker in my journal spreads.

Is it worth the money? Stickii Club is an absolute bargain. Not only do you get a considerable amount of thoughtfully designed stickers for relatively little, but you’re introduced to talented small artists you might not have otherwise found.

Rating: 1.5/5

What’s inside? A monthly craft kit – in our case, the Stitched Robin Hoop Hanging.

Verdict: I was so excited when I unpacked my Craftiosity box because everything looked like it had been such love and care.

As promised, I received everything needed to embroider a beautiful robin on a piece of blue cloth and the design made me excited to get started.

The subscription box included two different needles (for sewing and beading), a square piece of cotton cloth, a stencil, a six-pack of neutral embroidery floss, red embroidery thread, an assortment of colourful beads, and two kinds of needles for sewing and beading respectively.

The box also includes a login for an instruction video, but I couldn’t find that on Craftiosity’s blog page as directed, so I had to YouTube a tutorial. I traced out the robin design on the cloth as instructed and successfully clipped the fabric onto the embroidery hoop (also provided) but ran into trouble when I tried to thread the sewing needle!

The thread was too thick for the eyelet and, despite multiple attempts, refused to go through – leaving me flustered, a little bit annoyed, and demotivated.

I might go try and find a bigger needle but it defeats the purpose of having a subscription box delivered with everything you presumably require to complete the project.

Is it worth the money? Sadly, my robin never took flight, so I will have to give this box a 1.5/5.

BEST BOOK SUBSCRIPTION

Rating:

What’s inside? A special edition Young Adult book – and surprise gifts

Verdict:  FairyLoot is the perfect gift for the reader in your life – or yourself. The monthly Young Adult box contains a stunning special edition book and various bookish items that were beautifully designed.

We received the ‘Bewitching Bargains’ edition for February 2025, and it was packed to the brim with useable items that even non-readers could find a place for.

The first – and my personal favourite – was a gorgeous ‘Berry Crate’ with a design of bees and blossoms, perfect for holding your favourite berries in the fridge.

The box also contained a stainless steel neckless inspired by The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue – but its pretty constellation design hides the theme well.

Another favourite for me was a list pad inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service, a hugely popular Studio Ghibli animated film. The paper was vibrant and of great quality – a perfect addition to my home office.

With the six collectable items was a jaw-dropping copy of The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith, specifically designed for FairyLoot members. This box would be an absolute joy to open every month!

Is it worth the money? Yes

Rating:

What’s inside? An adult romance book – and a themed mocktail

Verdict: Disclaimer: This book box is absolutely for 18+ only. That being said, for those who are lucky enough to be adults, it is glorious.

Smut & Sip is a monthly subscription which provides you with a special edition, adult romance novel every month. With it, you get a themed mocktail – and a few other items.

Our box contained a beautifully foiled copy of Face Off by Chelsea Curto. Not only that, but the book came with a signed bookplate, and a number of (ahem… spicy) prints depicting the characters. To reiterate, these definitely aren’t for children.

The drink of the month was created in collaboration with the Prohibition Collection – a Blueberry Lemonade mocktail.  It was presented in gorgeous wax sealed bottles, with vintage-look labels naming the book of inspiration.

Also in the box was a heart-shaped phone grip – which read ‘Big TBR Energy’ – and a pin badge. If you’re looking for a bookish box with a bit of edge – Smut & Sip is for you.

Is it worth the money? We think so!

Rating:

What’s inside? A monthly special edition book and goodies inspired by popular reads.

Verdict:   This monthly subscription box is a fantasy reader’s dream. Packed to the brim with bookish goodies and a special edition, hardcover novel, each month Illumicrate delivers a bright yellow moment of joy to your door.

The month we received was themed around ‘Fantasy Emporiums’ – and even the packaging of the four beautifully wrapped items was a nod to this.

The ‘Midnight Bridge Blanket’ was inspired by this month’s featured book – Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao. It was great quality and a good size, with a motif that wouldn’t be overtly bookish to anybody not in the know.

We also received a trivet, two tiny bud vases and a tea strainer – again, all inspired by particular books.

Turning to the book of the month – this was gorgeous. The beautifully designed exclusive-to-the-box cover continued onto bright sprayed edges, with character art adorning the end pages. And it was signed, which is always a bonus for book lovers.

There’s one very small downside of Illumicrate. If you haven’t read the book that an item is inspired by, it sometimes isn’t all that useable. That was only the case with one item in the January box – the trivet, which was covered in quotes.

Is it worth the money?  Overall, absolutely.

BEST SNACKS

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of artisan breads, pastries, jams and milk

Verdict: Picture the scene: you’re sat at home on a quiet Saturday morning and, just before 9am, somebody on a bicycle arrives to deliver a bundle of bread, pastries and jams. A dream, right?

Well, London-based Butter & Crust make it very much a reality for those living in their delivery area.

We tried out a bundle of their bestsellers, including four unbelievable breakfast pastries – a cinnamon roll, an apricot danish, a cardamon bun and a chocolate chip cookie.

Delivered with them were a croissant and a pain au chocolate, and two savoury pastries which, for me, were the star of the show. One of them – a pastry filled with new potatoes and parmesan – I’ve been dreaming about ever since.

But it wasn’t only in their selection of delicious pastries that Butter & Crust excelled.

A loaf of crusty sourdough was perfectly paired with blackcurrant jam and fresh butter – and washed down with a glass of apple juice, which was delivered in a very chic wine bottle. It was the perfect breakfast – and all delivered conveniently to my front door.

Is it worth the money? The beauty of Butter & Crust is it can be as inexpensive as you make it.

Rating:

What’s inside? Up to 20 Japanese snacks, chocolate and sweets.

Verdict: This brand new subscription delivers a taste of Japan to your door, in a monthly box filled with up to 20 varied snacks.

Coming straight from Japan itself, with Oyatsu Club you know you’re always getting the freshest, newest treats. Not only did my box include some Japanese favourites – like Pocky and Hi-Chew – but there were also some flavours completely new to me.

My favourites included a curry flavoured rice cracker and a brown sugar flavoured snack, which was both sweet and salty. Also in the box was a selection of matcha tea, and a number of delicious ramune soda inspired treats.

Oyatsu Club also tucked in a packet of Pokemon themed gummies, and seaweed flavoured crisps – which were deceptively delicious.

It was the perfect quick trip around Japan in a handful of snacks – which change up every month. And not only were the snacks delicious, but for the price it is an unbelievably generous box.

Is it worth the money? Without a doubt!

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of seasonal Japanese snacks.

Verdict:  This box was an incredible treat – and perfect for anyone who’s interested in exploring snacks across the world.

It offered a good combination of sweet vs savoury, and provided a glimpse into brands some may already be familiar with (vis a vis the Matcha Latte KitKats) as well as ones you won’t have heard about.

The theme of this month’s box was ‘Sakura Nights’ to commemorate the stunning Sakura flower season in Japan which made the experience feel a lot more elevated and hand-selected as well.

Is it worth the money? I did end up loving every snack in this selection, but even if I hadn’t had, I think it’s a worthy pick-yourself-up to invest in!

Rating:

What’s inside? A variety of salty and sweet snacks from a different country every month.

Verdict: The SnackVerse box I received – which offered me a selection of snacks from Greece – was absolutely delightful.

Not only is it filled to the brim (a month on, I’m still powering through the snacks now) but a selection of everything from sweets to crisps to beverages is available. One of my Greek friends offered a hearty approval of the things on offer, and so far every one of them has hit the spot.

Past boxes include regions everywhere from Spain to Australia – and it’s definitely a splurge I think is worth it to mix new flavour palettes into your life.

Is it worth the money? For £13.99 a month, you may as well save money on the random ‘sweet treat’ outings you’re bound to make throughout the weeks and get them all in one go

Rating:

What’s inside? 25 handcrafted award-winning, seasonal and classic favourite chocolates.

Verdict: These delicious chocolates are a surefire way to brighten up a loved one’s day and could make a good birthday, anniversary or wedding gift. I certainly know that when I saw it in my letterbox it turned a mediocre day into a brilliant one.

Upon opening the parcel, a colourful box greets you, beautifully packaged in tissue paper which makes you feel as though you are unwrapping a gift.

The chocolates were all beautifully hand-painted with vibrant glitter and unique splatters of paint, it really felt as though the team had put their time and effort into making each one stand out.

Each individual chocolate was easily two mouthfuls of goodness and I found them to be bigger than regular chocolates that you would perhaps get from their competitors.

Some of my favourite flavours were the Cherry Bakewell and the Molases and Brown Butter Caramel. The Cherry Bakewell tasted exactly like the real thing, I couldn’t quite believe it.

The Molases and Brown Butter Caramel chocolate was probably my overall favourite. Upon first bite this gooey caramel oozed out of the chocolate along with the richest sugary flavour ever – think treacle tart. I have a major sweet tooth, so I was very excited about this one and it did not disappoint.

I was a little gutted that I did not get any white chocolates in my box, but I suppose that is the joy of getting a subscription to the seasonal chocolates, you’ll always get something different to try each month.

Is it worth the money?  I believe the product is worth the money, as it works out to be around £28 a box, including delivery. It’s always nice to support a small business that strives for quality over quantity.

Rating:

Verdict: This pretty, super compact parcel with a whimsical postcard included felt like a proper feel-good treat when it landed on the mat.

There’s three options to choose from, Flavour Explorer Club, Caffeine Free Club and Gourmet Tea Club, and each contains three packets of loose leaf tea.

What was in my kit? Sheffield Allsorts, Tea & Toast and Lemon & Ginger, the first two black and the latter herbal.

Each packet comes with a flavour explanation and ingredients list and can be resealed for freshness. There is something mindful about not just stuffing a tea bag into a mug and prepping a cup of char as it should be made.

As an Earl Grey devotee, I enjoyed being pushed into unknown tea territory, with Tea & Toast, a breakfast tea infused with strawberry jam, my favourite of the trio packed. This would be a lovely birthday present for a pal, or just a gift to oneself. I loved it!

Is it worth the money? Yes.

Rating:

Verdict: This arrived in a cheery yellow box with the cakes wrapped in stylish green paper, and then each one of the five treats inside cased in compostable and biodegradable packaging.

What did we get? A slice of lemon drizzle, red velvet chocolate brownie, banana loaf, Victoria sponge and a cute flower biscuit – all perfectly presented and, should I have needed an instant tea party, they were ready to serve.

The brand behind them, Crumbs Box, is a small, independent bakery based in Shropshire, and there was definitely a home-baked feel and taste to the cakes – with the double layered Victoria sponge, with buttercream and jam, as authentic as you’d find in any good tearoom.

My band of testers loved the brownie which was, they deemed, ‘divine’ – and perfectly squidgey too.

The only slight dampener? The obligatory sheet of A4 listed all the ingredients for each, and the icing on the biscuit had E numbers galore, which was a little off putting. Generally though, a comforting, tasty box of treats.

Is it worth the money? Yes.

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of artisan and traditional Japanese snacks.

Verdict:  Presentation-wise, this box was absolutely gorgeous and everything that came – from the flower-shaped ‘kohakuto’ sweets to the pink ‘daifuku’ was evocative of the blossoming Sakura flowers Japan is renowned for.

However, my only criticism is that I felt there wasn’t enough variety between sweet and savoury selections here.

It’s definitely a great choice for a more curated feel and every snack that was picked was certainly tasty – but I think compared to the Tokyo Treat box, this was a touch more on the specialised side.

Is it worth the money? We would choose Tokyo Treat – but this one is worth a go.

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of British made beers and ales.

Verdict:  Before it arrived, I was buzzing for the Best of British Beer box to reach my door – but when I peered into the enormous box, I was deeply disappointed to discover the majority of the offerings weren’t your typical beers, but a range of dark and golden ales.

It’s worth prefacing that as a fairly new beer drinker, my palette may not be as refined as some heavy ale veterans. But that being said, I’m not a fussy eater or drinker and can get down most alcoholic drinks, even at the worst of times.

However – some of the beers in this box were absolutely hideous. While adorned in gorgeous paper labels with whimsical illustrations of barrels and wheat from local breweries, what we lurking inside was really unpleasant.

One glamorous sounding ale, which was meant to have chocolate notes, had less of the rich sweetness of cocoa and more of a claggy taste.

There were some okay options, with one quite refreshing lager and an IPA that had a unique flavour profile. Monty’s Mischief IPA was a little flat in stature but overall had a nice flavour and was at least unique compared to what’s on offer in most pubs.

My main issue with this box is that is offered little in the way of actual beer – which I love and can appreciate – and a lot more in the way of ale, which I would rarely choose for myself.

Is it worth the money?  For seasoned ale drinkers, this is likely the perfect gift. But for beer girls like me, this isn’t the one.

Verdict: Available for delivery nationwide, the Beefy Boys box promises to turn your kitchen into an authentic burger joint.

The box certainly talks the talk, the semi-brioche buns were wrapped in burger restaurant-style greaseproof paper and there was even a branded sticker included.

The six patties from Herefordshire butcher Neil Powell, six rashers of bacon and cheese – slices of both American and Swiss – were encased in a foil bag for freshness.

There’s also one pot of ‘secret’ seasoning and sauces including ‘baconnaise’, ‘special’ and ‘chipotle’. Two sheets, one with instructions, one with ingredients kept things simple and dinner for six was very easy to create, with zero additional ingredients required.

How did I get on? Pretty well, I followed the instructions to a tee and served up half a dozen seriously satisfying burgers less than ten minutes later. Quibbles? There’s a suggestion that you check the internal temperature of the burger is over 75 degrees…without a meat thermometer, that left me more cautious on cooking times than I might have been.

And the buns, from baker Peter Cook, were a little hard, even after toasting. We added our own fries and loved the sauces and the drape of melted cheeses – achieved by a last-minute steaming in the pan.

This won’t save you a whole lot on a takeaway order but the meat was delicious, and no-one left the table hungry – beefy, they certainly are. If you have a hungry teen planning a sleepover with friends, then this would be just the ticket.

Is it worth the money? Yes.

What’s inside? Meal kits to help you cook throughout the week

Verdict: If you’re an Instagram user, who works a 9-5, you’ve definitely been tempted by the HelloFresh meal subscription boxes.

Not only does the company make grocery shopping hassle-free (in that they do it for you!) but their boxes seem like a great way to build confidence in the kitchen while eating nutritious meals.

I’m pleased to report that these boxes completely lived up to their social media hype!

I was sent the ingredients for three of their low-cal meals, the Lemon and Herb Sea Bass in Garlic Butter, Harissa Aubergine Parmigiana and Caribbean Styled Spiced Salmon, and all three were incredible!

Not only were they easy to prepare (most just involved roasting potatoes, preparing a veggie side, and oven-roasting meats), because of clear, detailed, and step-by-step instructions, they were all delicious!

I made enough for two meals with each set of ingredients, meaning I had six meals planned out for the week.

Is it worth the money?  For £35 (but there’s a discount on the first box!) that’s really good value, and I will absolutely be ordering again.

Rating:

What’s inside? Your breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week.

Verdict: Those of us with busy lives often find it difficult to eat healthy meals every day. With Frive, that might not be a problem anymore.

This meal prep company delivers food to your door once or twice a week, with a huge selection of meals to choose from to suit most tastes.

My personal favourites were the breakfast – waffles with toffee apple sauce and Greek yoghurt – and the lamb and harissa meatballs I devoured one lunch time.

Preparing a Frive meal couldn’t be easier. You simply pull back the plastic and pop it in the microwave. Just like that, you have a chef-prepared meal ready to go.

Another advantage of Frive is how well they accommodate dietary requirements – and foods you just dislike. Customers are able to remove up to three ingredients from a wide-ranging list, making for a very easy experience.

The only downside is the price. You pay for convenience, which is something you would have to weigh up when considering a subscription with Frive.

Is it worth the money? In terms of what you get, absolutely. But it is undeniably more expensive than cooking for yourself.

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of frozen meal kits.

Verdict:  Chefees is one step further than Hello Fresh and its other competitors, offering meals where all the components are fully frozen and almost all already cooked leaving the customer with nothing much to do other than heat up and combine.

The freezer element was appreciated with other brands not offering the same level of flexibility with their fresh produce but I found I couldn’t easily fit all the packs in my freezer and was left drowning in vacuumed-packed pouches.

The sauces were tasty and my pack (all fish) offered foods I wouldn’t readily buy and cook myself but I’m not sure they always translated with the prawns a little rubbery and the portion sizes for rice a little off.

And, while other food delivery options usually leave a cardboard box on your doorstep, Chefees requires you to be in to receive the delivery which is fully frozen and only packed with freezer blocks leaving me a hostage to my supposedly fuss-free cooking option.

Is it worth the money?  For up to £14 for each meal I was left grimacing at the price and disappointed with the sheer volume of non-recyclable plastic packs.

Rating:

What’s inside? Plant-based meals in sustainable packaging.

Verdict: On the outset, Planty looks incredibly impressive. The subscription service offers a range of plant-based meals in sustainable packaging.

Not only that, but the food is also sourced locally where possible and has ingredient lists much shorter than most pre-cooked meals on offer. However, the taste of some of the meals falls short. For instance, the puddings tasted like a glammed-up aeroplane dessert to me.

That’s not to say that some of the items, including the roast potatoes and mushroom curry, weren’t tasty – they were pretty good. I think it’s best to stay safe with savoury meals you know you’ll enjoy with Planty.

Overall, it’s great to see some varied, plant-based options, and I think Planty is a good choice for a one-off when looking for some help in the kitchen, but it’s not something I’d repeatedly go back to.

Is it worth the money?  I’d say get a couple to chuck in the freezer for a time when you’re stumped about what to cook. Then, at something like a fiver per meal, it’s worth it. On a weekly basis, I’d say no.

…AND THE BEST OF THE REST

Rating:

What’s inside? A selection of bath bombs, soaps and scrubs only available in the subscription.

Verdict: Spring has officially sprung – and Lush Kitchen took inspiration from the season with their latest subscription box.

The March 2025 box was themed around the English countryside, with a delicious smelling shower gel named just that – and infused with fresh parsley and geranium oil.

Also included was an adorable ‘bubbleroon’ – called Bubblegrub – and a gorgeous, colourful soap featuring two tulips.

The subscription also featured a sea salt body scrub, a cat-themed shower steamer, a body lotion and a light blue bath bomb, which was scented with chamomile tea. It was a beautifully curated box, set perfectly for the blooming season.

And, as you would expect from Lush, every product was itself thoughtfully made. All seven products were vegan and made from natural ingredients, continuing the ethos of the brand.

Not only that, but you can only get them in this specific set, making it a hot commodity for Lush lovers.

Is it worth the money? Its pricey, but for a night of self care its a perfect treat.

Rating:

What’s inside? One tube of deodorant balm and ‘The Assistant’

Verdict: AKT London is a natural deodorant company that was inspired by its founders’ work on the West End stage.

Ed Currie and Andy Coxon gave up on traditional deodorants and created The Deodorant Balm, which is designed to be plastic-free in an aluminium tube.

We got to try out a range of scents, which included Columbia Road – with notes of Tonka Bean and Amber – and Halcyon Summers, with mint and tomato vine.

Our favourite was After Thunder, with had a gorgeous scent of cedar, eucalyptus and bitter orange. With your starter set you get a scent of your choice, and a metal rod known as ‘The Assistant’, which helps you get every ounce of balm out of the tube.

All in all, the deodorant balm wears well, and the scent lingers for well over 24 hours if you don’t shower or reapply in the meantime.

Is it worth the money? It’s a premium product, but its worth a try.

Rating:

What’s inside? Gifts for your cat – and yourself.

Verdict: Gus & Bella is, in a word, adorable. Each month, this box for cat lovers delivers a treat for both cats and their owners – ranging from homeware and stationary, to kibble and catnip infused toys.

And, of course, the cardboard box itself for your feline friends.

We received the March box, which was themed around Mother’s Day. There was even a ‘Number 1 Cat Mum’ Mother’s Day card inside – presumably for your cat to send directly back to you.

Also included were two cat toys; a catnip filled fortune cookie, that my Ragdoll is completely obsessed with, and a very cute flower toy.

There were snacks involved too – chocolate for me and cheesy treats for my cat. But the standout item was a desk sign, which declared the very true: ‘I work hard so my cat can have a better life’.

Overall, this is a very nice box. However, I’m not sure it’s something I would want to receive on a monthly basis – rather, a now-and-then treat.

Is it worth the money? Occasionally.

Rating:

What’s inside? Cleaning concentrates and reusable spray bottles

Verdict:  If you’re forever forgetting to buy cleaning products, this could well be your solution. Purdy & Figg’s counter clean comes in a bunch of delicious smelling scents, which leave your home smelling delightful for hours after you’ve cleaned.

We tried out the counter clean 90-day plan, which came with three cleaning concentrates, a reusable glass spray bottle and a microfibre cleaning cloth.

Not only do these products look and smell great on your kitchen counter, but they are phenomenal cleaning products. Just one spray does a lot, and left my flat sparkling clean in a matter of minutes.

The kit is also beyond easy to use. All you do is add the cleaning concentrate to the bottle, fill it up with water and give it a gentle shake. Once you run out, you repeat with another scent. They also offer seasonal scents – which is a great option.

The only draw back is the price – for a three-month kit (after your initial order, which is discounted) you’ll be paying £48 a month for the same kit – or £21 for three concentrates.

Is it worth the money? Yes – but this is a premium product, and that’s what you’re paying for.

Rating:

What’s inside? A reusable case for body wash, and one wash every three months

Verdict: Wild delivers you a body wash in a scent of your choice every 12 weeks. The options range from limited edition scents like ‘Love Potion’ and ‘Juicy Mango’, to permanent offerings like ‘Honey & Almond’ and ‘Ocean Mist’.

With your first order you get a handy reusable case – with a pump – that brightens up your shower with any of the 12 design options.

We went for the Emma Bridgewater bee case, which we paired with the ‘Honey & Almond scent’ – and it was an absolute delight.

A subscription with Wild likely means you will never run out of shower gels – and you can switch up the scents whenever you feel like it.

Is it worth the money? You can definitely find cheaper body wash – but it’s a nice product.

Rating:

What’s inside? An assortment of seasonal items and homeware that are handpicked

Verdict:  I really enjoy interior design and was excited to open this box to see what was inside.

I haven’t seen anything on the market like this before, as my mind immediately jumps to meal prep brands, streaming services or the gym when someone utters the word ‘subscription’.

In my box, I received one double walled floral class mug, one white ceramic bunny tea light holder, two white ceramic bunnies in varying sizes, along with a similar set of bunnies that were all the same size, four white ceramic hanging bird decorations and a white tray to put decor or candles on top of.

If you are a minimalist person with a passion for Easter and spring, this is an exciting set for you to get through the post. However, in my opinion, the package contained too many white ceramic decorations.

For them to work from an interior design perspective, you would need a house that is rich in colour – or they would just blend into the white or cream walls.

I feel as though there could’ve been more variation in the package in terms of materials and textures. I really like the mug, which claims to keep hot drinks warmer due to the double wall technology and it brightens up my cupboard.

A positive of the box is that if you don’t have room for the six bunnies in this parcel, they do make a lovely gift for friends and family as they are adorable and look quite high end.

Is it worth the money?  I believe it is worth the money as each item works out at about £6.66 each and you’re also paying for the element of surprise.  However, if you lack space in your room, then getting a box every month may not be beneficial, space-wise.
