What happened to Tahlia Prior? Student, 27, planned to meet her mother for lunch in Perth on Saturday… but she never showed up
A distraught mother has made a tearful plea for help in finding her daughter, who mysteriously disappeared almost a week ago.
Tahlia Prior, 27, was last seen on Mills Street in Bentley in Perth’s south at around 5pm last Friday.
Cindy Prior had spoken to her daughter earlier that day about going shopping and having lunch together the next day.
But Tahlia didn’t show up for her scheduled appointment or answer her phone calls, which was “unusual,” her concerned mother said.
Mrs Prior fought back tears as she made a desperate public appeal on Wednesday, which coincided with her missing daughter’s birthday.
The couple had planned to have lunch and cook that day.
“Today is Tahlia’s birthday and we miss her so much on her special day,” said Prior.
‘Tahlia is a bright, intelligent young woman, a student at Curtin University. She is kind, friendly and caring, she is a civil engineer.’

Mrs. Prior turned to her daughter and said, “Tahlia, today is your special day.”
‘We need you to come home. We need you to be home with us to celebrate your birthday, we really miss you so much on this special day.
“We believe Tahlia is very vulnerable at this time and are asking the public for more information.”
Mrs Prior added: ‘Tahlia, like everyone, has her ups and downs, but generally she is cheerful and outgoing.’
She was very concerned about Tahlia’s safety and well-being.
“My family are really worried. We are contacting everyone and putting up flyers everywhere we can at Curtin University and in the area where she was last seen,” Prior said.
She added that she was “driving everywhere,” desperately searching for her daughter.
“I can’t do it alone anymore, I need the help of the community,” she said.
“If you would like to pass on any small details, no matter how big or small, please contact us.”
Tahlia Prior is about 174 cm tall, has an average build, brown hair and brown eyes.
