‘What the hell is this?’ People cry after surprise wedding
A spontaneous wedding has left many people amazed, and it’s not so much the surprise that leaves them in shock.
Initially, the guests thought they were gathering for a family reunion, but it soon became clear that they would all be attending the wedding.
One of the guests shared some photos from the big day on Facebook and they quickly went viral.
“I, uhm… unknowingly attended this wedding,” she captioned the post.
“Family reunion turns into a random shotgun wedding. Welcome to America.”
In the photos, the bride and groom are seen wearing matching denim dungarees, but while the bride opted to wear an orange T-shirt underneath, the groom decided to go topless at all.
While the groom put on black sneakers to say “I do,” the bride went barefoot.
Don’t worry, the bride did wear a white veil, which she pinned to the back of her hair, and she wore the braids as she posed with her suitor, who was holding a hoe.
It’s no surprise that Facebook users had a lot to say about the unconventional wedding.
Someone commented on the viral post: “Every new word I read felt like a slap in the face.”
“They really made a choice huh?! It’s the man boobs under his overalls that really make this moment shine,” said a second.
And a third wrote: “What the hell is this?”
Meanwhile, someone else joked: “I applaud the dedication to the theme. The ombré shades of denim. The delicate natural backdrop. And- uh- the hats and heels?”
“Man boobs and weddings don’t mix. Her theme was country elegant,” added another.
But the surprise wedding isn’t the only ceremony that’s been wowing people lately.
A mother of the bride went viral on TikTok after showing off her unique look, dividing people.
She shared a video of herself in the swimsuit, which was a very light color, almost white.
It had a train and feathered sleeves, and the woman paired it with a striking hat.
While the outfit was undoubtedly flattering, many critics felt it was completely inappropriate for a wedding.
“The mother of the bride really shouldn’t wear white,” one person wrote.
“The mother of the bride shouldn’t wear white – be a little more subdued,” suggested another.
“Who wears white to a wedding?” asked a third.
“Definitely not the mother of the bride!”
Wedding Guest Etiquette
If you’re having trouble choosing a dress for wedding season, here are a few rules about what not to wear so you don’t get into trouble.
- According to tradition, wearing red to a wedding means you have slept with the groom.
- Informal clothing such as jeans and flip-flops should always be avoided.
- Any color that can be recognized as white or cream, even if it is not.
- Most will agree that your décolletage should be covered.
- Wearing white is absolutely taboo if you are not the bride.
