What do you think of Apple’s iPhone 16 event?
What a week, Apple has set the date for its iPhone 16 Glow Time event. And we have to go through some of the comments you guys left for me in my last video about what’s coming in this big product extravaganza. And let’s just say not everyone is excited about what to expect. Also, a lot of you are excited about products that probably won’t be happening this time around. So I’ll go through that as well. I mean, it’s nice to have dreams, but sometimes those dreams have to be dashed for your own good. I only did an episode on Monday, but this is a special Apple event week. So you get one more episode. Let’s close out the week with a quick roundup of your big questions and comments you left for me, because yes, I read all the comments. I’m Bridget Carey and there’s one more thing. The big day is Monday, September 9th, and no one was expecting an iPhone event on a Monday. It’s usually on a Tuesday, sometimes a Wednesday. But if you know your Apple history, September 9th makes a lot of sense. It’s significant because exactly 10 years ago today, on September 9, 2014, the Apple Watch was first unveiled. So this marks the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch. Also, if you already know this because you watched my video from last week, then bonus points to you. That event was wild compared to Apple now. But could the Apple Watch 10 be a bigger deal than the iPhone 16 Jack. The black guy says he can’t wait for Apple to announce the same phone they did last year. But Jack, haven’t you heard the rumor? There’s going to be a new button on the side for taking photos and videos. I’m looking forward to figuring out how not to capture. My life is good without that button which Killmonger says it’s been a year and you know what I was thinking except this AI stuff could really mess us up. It’s expected that all of the new models will have processors that can handle the new AI features, forcing more people to buy it to upgrade. Also for me it was always the more stable year as issues like be gate or in 10G were fixed. But I don’t know what surprises this AI stuff could bring and the design changes a little bit. It’s just enough to make sure your old cases don’t fit your new ones. Now at this event we’re expecting updates to the low and mid range airpods and I mentioned that they could get a find my alert and speaker in the case. Several of you wanted to remind me that the airpods pro already have a speaker in the case. Yeah, yeah, they do. I didn’t mention the pros but you know what, let’s see how confusing the airpods line is getting with everything being updated and those cheaper models also getting features like noise cancellation. A neon element tells me to take another look at the Glow Time invite because in this image you see airpods macs in the art and you also see an apple tv and a mac mini. Okay, let’s take a closer look. Is this like those magic eye illusions? Some of you are planning to upgrade because you are excited about Apple Intelligence, which Adam Tendo, the player who wrote this, will be the first iPhone. I was there for that launch and have been curious about how AI will work in the new devices since I was a kid. Yes, you can expect Apple to talk a lot about Apple Intelligence, but here are a few things you shouldn’t expect. Frozen Heart is hoping for an iPad mini seven or mini pro. Look, I know the iPad deserves a lot of love, but there was no buzz about it showing up at this event. But Bloomberg’s Markman says the iPad is very low in stock at Apple Stores, so fingers crossed, but I feel bad for K Hill, the iPhone just isn’t in. Analysts think this may be the last year. We’re getting an iPhone plus, forget about a mini, but we can dream of surprises. O Brazo Band says it would be a tragedy if we just got updated Home Pods. Yeah, you just make me feel bad for my dreams. I mean if there was one with a screen I bet you would buy one just saying. How about the Vision Pro? Yeah that was a no go last year around this time, the Vision Pro was all Apple could see is what they want to see for the future of the headset and how the new iPhones will be able to render 3D content for it. But there hasn’t been much talk about a new headset. The best comment of the bunch goes to Mars Rocket. This was when I was talking about the rumored colors of the Pro. I wasn’t too excited to see this shade of brown to which he asks, is that Zoo Brown? Nice work sir. Thanks always for your comments. You inspire me to dive into different areas of the Apple world. So keep them coming and make sure you subscribe if you would be so kind. We have one more show before Apple’s big show and I will be discussing that live here as well. So come back next Friday and we have one more thing to talk about.
