Beyonce will be the surprise guest at the Democratic National Convention, according to a report published amid furious speculation.
Queen Bey will be on stage when Kamala Harris accepts her party’s presidential nomination for president on the final night of the showpiece event, TMZ reported.
The report still hasn’t been fully confirmed and the Washington Post even said it isn’t happening, but rumors the Single Ladies megastar will appear have been building all day.
At the star of the night, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren joked about the false internet rumor that J.D. Vance had a sexual encounter with a couch as she took the stage at the party’s convention on its final night.
‘Trust Donald Trump and J.D. Vance to look out for your family? Shoot, I wouldn’t trust those guys to move my couch,’ she said to the allegation that then went viral and has ended up in speeches for Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz.

Beyonce will be the surprise guest at the DNC, report says
By Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent at the DNC:
TMZ reported Thursday night that Beyonce would indeed be the Democrats’ special guest during the final night of the Chicago convention.
The outlet cited ‘multiple sources,’ saying the Cowboy Carter singer was on her way.
The 9 p.m. hour of the convention has very few announced guests – suggesting the Democrats could have multiple surprises up their sleeves.
Currently North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper is on the schedule directly ahead of Harris, who will accept the Democratic nomination.
The Chicks and Pink are slated to perform, but no musicians are named for the final hour.
Warren jokes about Vance and a couch
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
Elizabeth Warren got a rock star reception at the Democratic convention with delegates leaping to their feet to give her a long-standing ovation.
The senator from Massachusetts was visibly moved. She teared up and had to take a deep breath to regain her composure before beginning her remarks.
Warren is a beloved figure among the progressive wing of the party.
She spent much of her remarks attacking Donald Trump, whom she called ‘the felony.’
She focused her comments on the economy, reassuring the crowd Harris will take on ‘billionaires who don’t pay taxes.’ Warren has a strong economic background.
She also got in a shot at Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.
‘Trust Donald Trump and J.D. Vance to look out for your family? Shoot, I wouldn’t trust those guys to move my couch,’ she said, referring to a false rumor Vance had a sexual encounter with a couch.
Warren noted that when Harris was ‘protecting families as California’s attorney general. Donald was scamming students at Trump University and trying to make money off people losing their homes.’
‘Kamala Harris stepped up. She enforced the law, fought the giant banks, and delivered billions of dollars of help for families. And that’s the difference between a criminal and a prosecutor.’
Joe and Jill call Kamala before her big night
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
President Joe BIden and first lady Jill Biden called Kamala Harris to wish her luck before her acceptance speech to the Democratic National Committee.
The president posted on social media about the conversation, including a photo of him and Jill Biden standing in front of their television, the convention airing, behind them, speaking on a cell phone.
‘We can’t wait to watch her accept this historic nomination. Kamala and Tim will inspire a generation and lead us into the future,’ he wrote.
Biden exited the race a month ago, quickly endorsing Harris for the presidential nomination.
The Bidens are on vacation in Santa Ynez with the rest of the Biden family.
Hit TV show ‘Scandal’ has a reunion at the DNC
Actress Kerry Washington took the stage at the Democratic National Convention where she compared Kamala Harris to Olivia Pope, her character on the hit TV show ‘Scandal.’
Washington asked the audence to take out their phones before she said she didn’t have her own phone and asked someone to get it.
That’s when her former co-star Tony Goldwyn ran out on stage to deliver the phone as the crowd went wild. He played the president and her love interest in the hit show.
Gus Walz joins dad Tim at convention for final night
Gus Walz, who captured hearts around the world, joined his dad Tim and the rest of the family at the Democratic National Convention’s final night.
Gus, 17, went viral when Tim Walz gave his acceptance speech, shedding tears for his father and shouting ‘That’s my dad.’
Sister Hope and Mom Gwen were also on hand, joining the rest of the family in a box above the convention floor. From there they will watch Kamala Harris accept the Democratic presidential nomination.
Tim Walz waved to the crowd while Gus, like many of the delegates, waved an American flag.
The family appeared on the jumbotron, causing the crowd to go wild.
The Chicks take the stage at the DNC to perform the National Anthem
The country group, The Chicks, sang the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday.
The trio’s political views have been known for more than 20 years, as they criticized Republican President George W. Bush in 2003 for the forthcoming invasion of Iraq.
Their comments prompted widespread backlash among conservatives at the time.
DNC DJ teases Beyonce appearance by playing
her hit ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ sending crowd wild
From Kelly Laco, executive editor of politics, at the DNC in Chicago:
The DNC crowd, eagerly anticipating a performance by legend Beyonce, went wild when the convention DJ played her new hit ‘Texas Hold ‘Em.’
Shrieks rang out among the thousands gathered until they realized it wasn’t Beyonce herself.
Queen Bey will reportedly be in the arena when Kamala Harris accepts her party’s presidential nomination for president.
The DJ also leaned into the rumor that Taylor Swift might also make an appearance on the final day of the Democratic party.
He played Taylor’s hit ‘Shake It Off’ to rile up the adoring crowd during a programming break.
However, the popstar is not expected to perform in Chicago this evening, despite the hoopla.

Steph Curry endorses Kamala via video message
Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent at the DNC:
Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry endorsed Democratic nominee Kamala Harris via video message Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention.
Curry popped up on-screen and talked about his recent experience at the Olympics – winning gold alongside other basketball greats on Team USA.
He said that the ‘unity on and off the court reminded us all that together we can do all things and continue to inspire the world.’
‘That’s why I believe that Kamala, as president, can bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward,’ Curry said. ‘This is about preserving hope and belief in our country.’
He also gave a hat-tip to a convention speaker from earlier this week.
‘In the words of Michelle Obama: do something!’
Steph’s Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr addressed the Chicago convention earlier this week.
Rev. Al Sharpton brings members of the ‘Central Park Five’ onstage at the convention
Rev. Al Sharpton blasted New York transplant Donald Trump at the Democratic Convention for Trump’s 1989 full-page ads calling to ‘Bring Back the Death Penalty’ for the Central Park Five – and members of the group appeared with him on stage.
They were accused of the rape of a Central Park jogger at the time, but they were later exonerated and their convictions were vacated in 2002 after a review found their confessions were forced.
‘He spent a small fortune on a front-page ad calling for the execution of teenagers,’ said Sharpton, now an MSNBC host.
Four of the five, Yusef Salaam, Korey Wise, Raymond Santana and Kevin Richardson, appeared.
‘As my friend Korey just said, 45 wanted us unalive. He wanted us dead,’ said Salam. ‘That guy says he still stands by the original guilty verdict. He dismisses the scientific evidence rather than admit he is wrong. He has never changed and he never will,’ he said.
Trump said in 2019, following a legal settlement, ‘You have people on both sides of that’ and that ‘they admitted their guilt.’
Harris to tell her story, appeal to middle class
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
Kamala Harris will vow to be a president ‘for all Americans’ when she accepts the Democratic nomination on Thursday night.
‘I know there are people of various political views watching tonight. And I want you to know: I promise to be a President for all Americans,’ according to the release from her campaign.
I will be a President who unites us around our highest aspirations. A President who leads — and listens. Who is realistic. Practical. And has common sense. And always fights for the American people. From the courthouse to the White House, that has been my life’s work.
She will also talk about her personal story, including how her mother Shyamala came to America from India at the age of 19 and went to become a breast cancer researcher.
‘America, the path that led me here in recent weeks was no doubt unexpected. But I’m no stranger to unlikely journeys,’ Harris will say.
‘My mother Shyamala Harris had one of her own. I miss her every day–especially now. And I know she’s looking down tonight, and smiling.’
Harris’ mother died at the age of 70 from colon cancer. At the time, Harris was attorney general of the state of California. Shyamala didn’t live to see her daughter become vice president.
She will also contrast her vision for America with rival Donald Trump’s.
In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man. But the consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious… Consider the power he will have—especially after the United States Supreme Court just ruled he would be immune from criminal prosecution.
Harris will focus her pitch – her first major national speech – to the middle class, reassuring them she is one of them.
It was mostly my mother who raised us. Before she could finally afford to buy a home, she rented a small apartment in the East Bay. In the Bay, you either live in the hills or the flatlands. We lived in the flats — a beautiful working-class neighborhood of firefighters, nurses, and construction workers, all who tended their lawns with pride.
Voters give Joe Biden’s administration low marks for its handling of the economy. Republicans hope to tie that dissatisfaction with Biden to Harris.
We know a strong middle class has always been critical to America’s success. And building that middle class will be a defining goal of my presidency. This is personal for me. The middle class is where I come from.
Harris will also include moments of rhetoric.
Fellow Americans, I love our country with all my heart. Everywhere I go —in everyone I meet—I see a nation ready to move forward. Ready for the next step, in the incredible journey that is America.
I see an America where we hold fast to the fearless belief that built our nation. That inspired the world. That here, in this country, anything is possible. Nothing is out of reach.
Sen. Mitt Romney jokes that he’s not the DNC’s surprise guest
By Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent at the DNC:
Republican Sen. Mitt Romney joked Thursday night that he wasn’t the surprise guest at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
‘Contrary to fake news posts, I am not the surprise guest at the DNC tonight. My guess is that it will be Beyoncé or Taylor Swift. So disappointing, I know!’ Romney said.
He is one of the most anti-Trump Republicans in Congress and voted to convict the former president during his impeachments.
A number of former Trump officials spoke at the DNC this week – but the buzz surrounding special guests Thursday night were about celebrity appearances.
Women are wearing white for Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech
Women on the floor of the United Center where Vice President Kamala Harris’ will accept the Democratic presidential nomination tonight are wearing white in a nod to the Women’s Suffrage movement.
Harris will be the first woman of color and second woman ever to accept a major party presidential nomination.
Some women are also wearing pink and green, the colors of historically black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, which Harris is a member of.
Trump teases ‘special guest’ at Arizona event, in same city where RFK Jr. will make an announcement
By Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent at the DNC:
Former President Donald Trump teased that a ‘special guest’ would be joining him Friday in Glendale, Arizona – just hours after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will ‘address the nation’ down the road in Phoenix.
There is rabid speculation that RFK Jr. will abandon his independent presidential bid and throw his support behind Trump.
Trump has said complimentary things about Kennedy in recent days, while RFK’s running mate said on a podcast released Tuesday that they would either stay in the race and try to obtain 5 percent of the vote – to become a new political party – or drop out and back the GOP nominee.
Those comments came before Kennedy announced his event Friday morning in Arizona where he will discuss his ‘path forward.’
The Washington Post reported last week that Kennedy had also tried to reach out to Democratic nominee Kamala Harris about a Cabinet position in exchange for the prominent anti-vaxxer’s support.
Democrats said they weren’t interested.
Ted Lieu takes jab at Trump’s claim that Harris used AI to enlargen crowd size
‘As a computer science major, I am so impressed with how large this AI-generated crowd looks tonight!’ said Rep. Ted Lieu, vice chair of the Democratic Caucus, in a jab at Trump.
Trump recently falsely claimed Harris used AI to fake her crowd size at a rally in Detroit
‘She ‘A.I.’d’ it, and showed a massive ‘crowd’ of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!’ he said in a Truth Social post on August 12.
Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown weighs in on critics who say Kamala Harris got a boost from their romantic relationship
Longtime San Francisco power broker Willie Brown addressed criticisms that Kamala Harris benefitted politically from their time dating in the 1990s, calling it ‘perfectly appropriate’ and accusing them of sour grapes.
‘What do I say to them? I think that they should applaud a selection process that’s perfectly appropriate and legal and people helping each other, if they have the opportunity — affording each other the opportunity to elevate and be elevated, period. And not be so resentful that it was not them, that they attempt twist and turn it in a different direction,’ he said.
Brown, 90, made the comment to CBS in an interview that aired as Harris prepared to reach a career pinnacle by accepting her party’s presidential nomination. He installed Harris on a pair of boards and helped introduce her to key political figures and donors when she was a California prosecutor.
It’s not clear how close they are now. Brown said they have a ‘great friendship’ and one that ‘still exists,’ but said it’s ‘been a long time’ since they spoke.

Trump lists litany of crimes committed by migrants during border trip
Donald Trump hammered Kamala Harris record on the border by listing a series of crimes committed by migrants.
Standing alongside a section of the wall, he said the VP wants to let in border crossers who will ‘rape and pillage’.
He then talked about women and girls who had been assaulted, raped and murdered by migrants.
The mother and uncle of Jocelyn Nungaray – a 12-year-old girl raped and murdered by suspected migrants – stood behind him as he delivered remarks.
Since Comrade Harris took over the border, there has been a 43 percent nationwide increase in violent crime and a 60 percent increase in rape
As Kamala Harris gives her convention speech tonight, she will not mention the victims. She will not say their names or express remorse to their families
Trump accuses Kamala Harris of
‘pure fraud’ over ‘fake’ job numers
Donald Trump has accused Kamala Harris and the Biden administration of ‘pure fraud’ over a bombshell revision in employment figures.
Stats released this week shows the Bureau of Labor Statistics had overcounted more than 800,000 new roles for Americans.
During an appearance at the southern border in Arizona, he said:
The fake job numbers that the Harris-Biden administration has been reporting for the last year… 818,000 jobs that didn’t exist.
They were phantom jobs, they were called phantom jobs. The reason they did that, I was surprised that job numbers look better because I know the economy is lousy, everyone here knows it. These people be hind me know it’s lousy.
Victory for Republicans in lawsuit over voters in Arizona needing proof of citizenship
The United States Supreme Court on Thursday ruled on Thursday that Arizona must enforce part of its voting law requiring proof of citizenship documentation to register to vote just months before the November election.
The decision is victory for Republicans after the state party and Republican National Committee took its emergency request to the country’s highest court.
The justices ruled 5-4 to reinstate a provision of the state’s voting laws after a federal judge blocked it in response to a challenge by the Biden administration and advocacy groups.
The state must enforce the part of the law mandating officials reject the state registration form if the person does not provide proof of citizenship.
But the court kept on hold other provisions preventing people from voting without proof of citizenship if they used a separate federal form to register.
It comes as voters head to the polls on November 5 to cast ballots in the presidential election between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.
Pelosi expresses no regrets on Biden, invites him to visit her in California
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
Nancy Pelosi shrugged off a question about whether she’s concerned that Joe Biden is upset with her after she helped led an effort to push him from the presidential race.
‘What bothers me would have been the re-election of Donald Trump as president of the United States. That’s what bothers me. I think that we bother him,’ Pelosi said at the CNN-Politico Grill.
The former speaker sounded hopeful that their relationship can be repaired. The two have been friends for more than 40 years but they haven’t talked since Biden dropped out.
‘We have a lot in the bank’ in terms of friendship, she noted, adding they had their shared faith of Catholicism and similar Democratic values.
She said the Bidens had an open invitation to visit and stay with her in California.
Pelosi was clear her goal was to keep Trump of the White House.
She added what was important to her was ‘no regrets the day after the election.’
And she had this parting piece of advice: ‘When in doubt, shoot.’
Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria spotted on the DNC stage prepping for final night
By Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent at the DNC:
Actresses Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria were spotted on the Democratic National Convention stage Thursday afternoon doing walk-throughs of the evening programming.
Washington was sporting a blue velvet suit and wore her hair in a bun on the top of her head.
She was seen practicing a bit with the grand-nieces of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris – Meena Harris’ daughters Leela and Amara.
‘Hello, hello, I don’t want to say this part. I don’t want people to hear this part,’ Washington teased during the mic check.
With Meena Harris on hand watching her daughters, the girls practiced introducing themselves and they appeared to be announcing an exciting guest.
Organizers of the convention have been tight-lipped about celebrity guests and performers.
For days there have been rumors that Beyonce will perform but they remain unconfirmed.
Washington was announced as a host – alongside fellow Scandal star Tony Goldwyn – the night before the convention started.
Longoria has long been a fixture at Democratic Party events.
She was wearing a white collared dress and white sneakers.
‘Hello Chicago!’ she yelled into the mic. ‘This is it, ya’ll better be ready!’
Urgent manhunt for Arizona suspect who threatened to shoot Trump during visit to the border TODAY
Arizona authorities have launched an urgent manhunt for a suspect who allegedly threatened to shoot Donald Trump during a trip to the border on Thursday.
Ronald Lee Syrvud, 66, is wanted in connection with an alleged assassination plot planned for the former president’s visit to a vulnerable stretch of the southern border in Cochise County, Arizona.
Police said Syrvud has several other warrants out for his arrest on separate charges, including for a DUI and failure to appear in court in Wisconsin, and for failure to register as a sex offender and felony hit and run in Arizona.
Ahead of Trump’s speech at the border, Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels told DailyMail.com authorities have ramped up security ‘based on the threats made’, as he pointed out that the event is ‘in an open venue.’
Syrvud is described as six-feet-tall, 220 pounds, and wearing glasses. His last known address is listed as Benson, Arizona.
The exact nature of the threats is unclear, however Sheriff Dannels told DailyMail.com they were received ‘off social media.’
‘We have zero tolerance for any kind of threats or intents of violence, so we’ll find him. He’ll go to jail,’ Dannels said.
Exclusive:Donald Trump reveals he doesn’t want intelligence briefings so he can’t be accused of leaking classified information
Donald Trump said Wednesday he would not be getting intelligence briefings as the Republican nominee for president for fear of being accused of leaking classified information.
U.S. spy agencies offer briefings to presidential candidates once they have secured their party’s nomination to prepare them for life as commander in chief.
But after the F.B.I. recovered government documents including classified papers at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, critics questioned whether Trump could be trusted with sensitive information.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the former president said he could now get the briefings if he wanted them but sensed a trap.
‘I don’t want them, because, number one, I know what’s happening. It’s very easy to see what’s happening,’ he said before attacking President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, his newly installed election opponent.

MyPillow’s Mike Lindell shaves off his mustache to explore DNC’s unisex bathrooms
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell shaved off his mustache so he could attend the Democratic National Convention incognito with the mission of exploring the unisex bathrooms.
The vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, who continues to push election rigging conspiracy theories, checked out the United Center’s facilities and came back with a report.
‘That’s bizarre,’ he told his cameraman. The conversation was being broadcast by the conservative Real America’s Voice. ‘That’s all I can say. What is wrong with that picture? A lot.’
The cameraman then asked, ‘were there unirnals, any women sitting in urinals?’
‘I tried to have a little tunnel vision in there,’ Lindell replied. ‘It’s upside-down,’ he added.
‘Right now, this is the battle we’re in. It’s the spiritual battle of evil and good, and nonsensical and common sense,’ he said. ‘It’s like a teeter totter, but we’re winning. I really believe we’re winning.’
Breaking:Texas Democrat delegate robbed at gunpoint in Chicago
A member of the Texas Democratic Delegation was robbed at gunpoint during the party’s national convention, according to a report.
The victim, 25, was walking in downtown Chicago at 2 a.m. CT on Wednesday morning during the DNC when a dark blue Land Rover Discovery pulled up alongside and armed men in ski masks got out.
The attackers also took the delegate’s room keys, then crossed the street to rob someone else.
The men were armed with handguns and threatened to kill the victims as they handed over their cell phones and wallets, according to Chicago police.
The suspects are believed to have been involved in a string of robberies across the city, DailyMail.com has confirmed.
U.S. Secret Service had warned DNC attendees as they exited the United Center Wednesday night to remove their badges as there have been multiple robbery attempts since the convention kicked off.
Trump to do live play-by-play of Harris speech
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
Donald Trump will provide a real time reaction to Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech when he does a live play-by-play on his Truth Social account.
The former president announced his plans to troll his Democratic rival.
I will be doing a LIVE PLAY BY PLAY on TRUTH Social of Comrade Kamala Harris’ Speech tonight at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago. We will start at 10 P.M., Eastern, and be covering and commenting on some of the earlier Speeches made, prior to hers.
Trump has falsely accused Harris of ‘stealing’ the Democratic nomination. Delegates voted to make her the party’s nominee after Joe Biden exited the race. Trump said Biden got ‘shafted.’
I am no fan of Biden, who was the Worst President in the History of the United States and, likewise, she is considered to be the Worst Vice President (and Border “Czar”) in the History of the United States, but Biden got “shafted.”
He said he would focus on Harris’ record on the border, crime and foreign relations.
Harris campaign responds to criticism for not having a Palestinian speaker at the DNC
The Harris campaign is facing backlash for not including a Palestinian speaker or someoneone representing the ‘uncommitted’ movement in its lineup for the Democratic National Convention.
Communications Director Michael Tyler pushed back, arguing the campaign is not taking Arab American votes for granted.
‘I think as it relates to uncommitted delegates at this convention, and we’re proud and glad that they’re here, we’ve worked to engage then throughout the convention,’ he said.
‘We’re proud of the fact that we held panel conversations wiht members of the uncommitted movement, are proud that the vice president herself engaged with leadership in the uncommitted movement in Michigan a copule of weeks ago.
Tyler claimed the campaign has continued to engage with the leadership and argued the vice president is committed to ending the conflict in Gaza with a ‘permanent ceasefire’ that includes Israel being able to secure itself as well as humanitarian aid.
The backlash for not having a Palestinian speaker comes as pro-Palestinian protests have taken place just blocks away in Chicago every day of the convention.
On Wednesday night, the convention had one of its most emotional moments when the parents of Israeli-American hostage, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, took the stage. They were met with a standing ovation and chants of ‘bring him home.’
Chicago’s most liberal lawmaker warns Donald Trump could beat Kamala Harris because of a common voter quirk
From Kelly Laco, executive editor of politics, at the DNC in Chicago:
A top liberal lawmaker is issuing a stern warning to Democrats about the importance of turning out to vote if they want to see Vice President Kamala Harris beat Donald Trump.
It comes down to making sure that voters don’t continue to suffer from a common problem that could derail the election outcome for liberals.
Freshman Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Ill., who represents a district about 15 minutes from downtown Chicago, is celebrating the ‘joy and momentum’ behind Harris, but is worried about voter turnout in November.
‘I represent the most progressive district in the entire U.S.,’ she said at an event hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants during DNC week.
She said the Democrats in her district are ‘definitely not voting for Trump,’ but they want to see an agenda that will ‘deliver for them.’
‘I’m going to say something that you probably don’t want to hear, but damn it, I’m the progressive Latina that got elected 20 months ago, and I’m just going to have to keep going to have to keep it real with you,’ she went on at the event attended by DailyMail.com.
What to expect on Day Four of the Democratic National Convention?
Sarah Ewall-Wice, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Chicago:
The biggest speech of the night will be Vice President Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech of the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.
‘She’s going to talk about her positive vision for the future of America,’ said campaign communications director Michael Tyler.
He also said she will share her story and make the case against Donald Trump.
But before the vice president takes the stage for one of the most important addresses as her life, there will be a series of speeches and performances.
The Chicks will sing the National Anthem to start the night, CNN reports.
The singer Pink is expected to take the stage before Harris’ address.
Among those speaking include a mix of officials and lawmakers including Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, former HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge, Senators Alex Padilla, Bob Casey, Tammy Baldwin, Elizabeth Warren and Mark Kelly. Representatives Katherine Clark, Adam Kinzinger, Lucy McBath, Maxwell Frost, Elissa Slotkin and Colin Allred will also speak.
There will also be a number of gun violence survivors speaking including former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
The theme for the night is ‘For our Future.’
McConnell declines to say who he thinks will win the election
Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell is keeping mum on who he thinks will win the presidential election.
He told a local news outlet only that the race will be ‘very, very competitive’ and declined to answer a question on who he thinks will win.
He said the race will ‘in part be a referendum on the two big issues that the American people are most concerned about,’ inflation and the border.
Regardless of who wins, he said he hopes the two parties can find common ground to work on together, pointing to the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure bill.
‘Muslim women for Harris’ disbands over VP’s lack of ’empathy’ toward Palestinians
‘Muslim Women for Harris’ announced late Wednesday it was disbanding and yanking support from VP Kamala Harris over the DNC’s refusal to put a Palestinian-American on stage at the convention.
‘We cannot in good conscience continue Muslim women for Harris-Walz, in light of new information from the Uncommitted Movement, that VP Harris’ team declined their request to have a Palestinian American speaker take the stage at the DNC.’
‘The family of the Israeli hostage that was on stage tonight has shown more empathy toward Palestinians and Palestinian-Americans than our candidate or the DNC has.’

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter in Chicago Illinois
Donald Trump has retaken the advantage in betting odds for who will win the 2024 presidential election.
The former president surged ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris on PolyMarket.
Trump now has a 52 percent chance of winning in November against Haarris, according to traders on the platform.
It comes as the Democratic National Convention continues in Chicago, Illinois this week – an event that usually gives the party a boost in polls and odds.
The biggest speech of Harris’ life
By Emily Goodin, senior White House correspondent in Chicago
Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech on Thursday night will focus on three key objectives as she makes her pitch to become the next president of the United States.
She will share her personal story; contrast her vision for the future with Donald Trump’s; and talk about her optimism for the future, the campaign said.
Her remarks will include talking about her childhood, including being raised by a working mother in a middle-class neighborhood.
Her attacks on Trump will focus on the Project 2025 agenda, which Democrats are using as a boogeyman against the former president.
Ultimately, she will pitch herself as a president for all Americans.
Harris has focused her campaign message on one of joy, a theme that carried over to the Democratic convention, which has featured uplifting speeches and musical performances.
Thursday night will be the biggest moment in Harris political career. And she is taking it so seriously she has held rehearsals complete with teleprompters in three different time zones, the New York Times reported.
Oprah Winfrey is brutally trolled by Trump campaign during surprise convention speech with private letter she wrote him
Oprah Winfrey sang Vice President Kamala Harris’ name and took a ‘childless cat lady’ swipe at J.D. Vance during a Wednesday night appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
Winfrey was a late add to the schedule, but with her Chicago ties and previous endorsements of Democratic presidential candidates of color, her attendance should have been anticipated.
The longtime talk show host entered the United Center announcing: ‘Who said you can’t go home again!’
She said she remained a political ‘independent’ but asked independents and undecided voters to back Harris.
‘We are beyond ridiculous tweets and lies and foolery,’ she said, comments clearly aimed at Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump. ‘These are complicated times, and they require adult conversations.’
In response, the Trump War Room X account posted a doting letter Winfrey had penned to Trump in the year 2000.
Inside the ‘Hotties for Harris’ DNC after-party: from Plan B vending machines and pregnancy tests to chaotic Gen-Z influencers
Typically the sign of a bad party is one where all of its guests are glued to their phones. One post-convention gathering in Chicago aimed for exactly that.
Late Tuesday night another niche, identity-driven group of liberals gathered at an exclusive and carefully curated event: the Hotties for Harris after-party.
The party centered around feminism, sex and its after-effects. Encompassed in pinks and brat-greens, messages that adorned the walls were designed to shock: the exact type of content that does well on platforms like TikTok.
The morning-after emergency contraceptive bill was being distributed out of a gumball machine. ‘Plan B, nom nom nom,’ the machine read. In fact early pregnancy tests, morning-after pills and UTI medication were distributed in every room of the event.
Nancy Pelosi says ‘thank you Joe’ after orchestrating humiliating plot to push Biden out of the race and ruin their friendship
Nancy Pelosi praised Joe Biden profusely in her remarks to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, thanking him for his service.
The words were notable from the former speaker after she played a large role in convincing Biden to exit the presidential race.
‘He established one of the most successful presidencies of modern times,’ she said. ‘Thank you Joe.’
But her warm words for the president may be too late.
The Bidens – particularly Jill Biden – are known to hold a grudge.
And they are known to still be angry at Nancy Pelosi.
Bill Clinton, 78, says ‘I’m still younger than Trump’ in raspy speech
Former President Bill Clinton channeled some of the relief inside the Democratic National Convention hall Wednesday when he said a ‘load’s off our shoulders’ while praising Kamala Harris and saluted President Joe Biden for dropping out.
He made the candid comment while praising Harris in her selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. Clinton, a former Arkansas governor, talked up Walz’s time as a coach and a ‘crack shot’ who backed an assault weapons ban.
‘So armed with her first decision Kamala Harris confronts an interesting dilemma,’ he said. Then he diverted: ‘We’re going to walk out of here feeling pretty good, I think. We’ve got energy, we are happy. We feel like a load’s off our shoulders. And we know we are just being asked to fight the same fight that the forces of progress have had to fight for 250 years. And in the face of stiff and often violent opposition, we have to find way to go forward together,’ Clinton said.
He made the remark on a night when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is credited with helping push Biden out the door with her public and private moves, herself got a rousing welcome from the crowd, which now faces an election with a nominee who is rising in the polls.
Like Barack Obama, the Clintons had put out a statement backing President Biden after his debate disaster last month. But some of their ex-aides joined former Obama officials in calling for Biden’s replacement.
Clinton made the comment about the load being lifted in a 28-minute speech where he compared Biden to George Washington for yielding to calls to end his campaign while facing a potential blowout in battleground states against Donald Trump.
‘And then he did something that’s really hard to do: He voluntarily gave up political power,’ Clinton said. ‘George Washington knew that and he did it. And he set the standard for us serving two terms before it was mandatory. It helped his legacy and it will enhance Joe Biden’s legacy.’
Trump says Democrats have mentioned him 297 times at convention… but only mentioned the border once and crime twice
Donald Trump has ridiculed Democrats for focusing on him rather than the crime and the border during their Chicago convention.
The former president claimed he had been mentioned 297 times during speeches at the United Center in Chicago, and other issues have been barely touched.
He mocked the four-day event in Illinois as a ‘little party’ and compared the Windy City to the Afghanistan ‘warzone’.
Trump then called Kamala Harris a ‘radical left Marxist’ and ripped into San Francisco, buy suggesting theives can ‘steal anything’ up to $950 and not get prosecuted.
‘We are giving our government away when we put two lunatics like these guys in office,’ he said referring to Harris and Walz.
‘The world is lauging at us’.
Lesbian Michigan AG issues bloodcurdling warning to conservative Supreme Court Justices at DNC
The Michigan Attorney General issued a startling challenge to Supreme Court Justices who might consider relitigating same-sex marriage protections.
Speaking at the Democratic National Convention, Dana Nessel said anyone attempting to deny her right to marriage would need to pry her wedding band ‘from my cold, dead, gay hand’.
Nessel, who is a lesbian, also touted Kamala Harris’ action as California’s attorney general in refusing to defend in court the state’s ban on same-sex marriage.
She told the audience: ‘She refused to argue that some families should have fewer rights than other families. It meant a lot. She was fighting for families like mine.’
According to The Detroit News, Nessel brought a civil case overturning Michigan’s gay marriage ban and is the state’s first openly gay attorney general.
Donald Trump rejects ‘totally false’ claims he was rude to Queen Elizabeth: ‘I was her favorite president’

‘I heard I was her favorite president,’ he said.

The ‘next Obama’ Wes Moore sparks frenzy from Democrat’s about a 2028 White House run at convention
Democrats are tripping over themselves in an effort to be among the first to predict that Maryland Gov. Wes Moore will run for president one day.
Moore, 45, stole the show at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday in a speech where he took aim at former President Donald Trump and listed his accomplishments – like becoming the first black governor of Maryland last year.
Despite first winning a race for public office in 2022, Moore has already been dubbed the ‘next Obama.’ He earned a coveted speaking slot at the Convention in Chicago after speaking at the 2007 event backing Barack Obama’s first nomination.
Greeted by an enthusiastic crowd and delivering a series of zingers, Democrats are looking ahead to the future of the Party.
‘Have had an opportunity to get to know Maryland Governor Wes Moore some and if there were Vegas odds on a future president, I’d put it on him. He’s got the goods,’ sports journalist Jemele Hill wrote on X.

‘Women love some of his policies, he was a democrat and they treated him very badly.
‘They basically made it impossible for him. I think he would have overtaken Biden.’

It was his tearful moment that captured hearts around the country and all over social media. The two kids sat in the front row of the convention with their mom Gwen as their dad made his debut on the national political stage.
Top journalist forced to apologize for making shocking claims about Donald Trump in false report
A senior PBS correspondent has apologized for claiming Donald Trump tried to talk Israel out of a ceasefire deal to stop it helping Kamala Harris’ campaign.
Judy Woodruff said inChicago on Monday: ‘The reporting is that former President Trump is on the phone with the Prime Minister of Israel, urging him not to cut a deal right now, because it’s believed that would help the Harris campaign.’
‘Who knows whether that will come about or not, but I have to think that the Harris campaign would like for President Biden to do what presidents do, which is work on that one’.
She then admitted she made a ‘mistake’ and clarified that she was basing the story on other reporting.
‘I want to clarify my remarks on the PBS News special on Monday night about the ongoing cease fire talks in the Middle East,’ she posted on X.
‘As I said, this was not based on my original reporting; I was referring to reports I had read, in Axios and Reuters, about former President Trump having spoken to the Israeli Prime Minister.
In the live TV moment, I repeated the story because I hadn’t seen later reporting that both sides denied it. This was a mistake and I apologize for it.’
