Why does the summer transfer window close today and when will it be reopened?

This summer the transfer window was split into two sections, with the first to bst on Tuesday 10 June from Sunday 1 June to 7 pm.

The reasoning behind the early window is to allow teams participating in the club World Cup to make signing sessions before the tournament starts on June 15.

The second part of the window will then be opened again on Monday, June 16, before it will be closed properly on Monday 1 September at 7 p.m.

The window can be open for a maximum of 12 weeks, therefore there is a six -day break between the two parts to allow it to walk to 1 September.
