Why were two of Boris Becker’s children not invited to his wedding? Mystery after tennis star failed to tell the son, 14, and daughter, 24, he’s ‘so proud of’ that he was getting married
As Boris Becker stood waiting to greet his new bride at the top of aisle at his third wedding, he was proudly flanked by not one, but two best men.
The tennis legend was supported by his two sons Noah, 30, and Elias, 25, as his bride, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, a political risk analyst 23 years his junior, walked up the aisle.
However, missing from picturesque Portofino party this weekend were his two youngest children – Anna Ermakova, 24, and Amadeus Becker, 14.
It remains a mystery as to why the pair, who are seemingly now on good terms with their father, weren’t invited, especially after Becker, 56, has spoken of how ‘proud’ he is of both children.
Amadeus’ mother, Dutch model Lilly Kerssenberg, expressed her disappointment, telling German magazine Bunte: ‘His father didn’t tell him anything about it….he’s wondering why he wasn’t invited. When I approached Amadeus about it, he was completely taken by surprise. He knew nothing.’
This is despite the fact that earlier this year, Becker marked Amadeus’ 14th birthday with a trip to Milan, including a visit to the Natural History Museum, sightseeing and indoor skydiving.
Lilly disclosed that Amadeus eventually received an invitation via WhatsApp, but he did not attend the wedding.
Meanwhile, Anna – who was born after Becker had a one-night stand with Russian waitress Angela Ermakova in the broom cupboard of London’s Nobu while first wife Barbara was in labour with Elias – didn’t make the guest list either.

She was some 750 miles away in Hamburg at a party to mark the 30th anniversary of the popular German TV-Show RTL Exclusiv.
Anna, who has only spoken positively about her father in public, reportedly discovered he was tying the knot after reading it in a German newspaper.
Perhaps Anna is keen to distance herself from her father’s name and shake off any nepo baby allegations.
Anna grew up splitting her time between London and Monaco, but is spending more and more time in Germany as she pursues fame in her father’s native country.
The up-and-coming singer is reportedly keen to forge a celebrity for herself beyond her parents, having been born as the result of a notorious tryst.
Becker initially denied paternity, with his lawyers suggesting Angela had inseminated herself with his sperm after oral sex. But DNA tests later proved he was the father.
Last year, she won Let’s Dance, the German version of Strictly Come Dancing, with a record number of public votes and massive scores from the judges.
She described the win as a ‘pinch me moment’ on her Instagram and Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse, who stars on both the German and UK version of the show, commented: ‘You can be so proud of yourself and stay amazing as you are’.
Ahead of the Let’s Dance final, Boris recorded a message for his daughter, saying: ‘You’ve already conquered the hearts of the Germans.
‘You’ve taken them by storm. Your talent, your discipline, your performance and more – your personality, are amazing. And I couldn’t be prouder,’.
Her venture into reality TV didn’t stop at Let’s Dance, she’s also on the panel – and performs – on Das Supertalent, (Germany’s Got Talent).
‘I had a difficult childhood and grew up with a lot of prejudice,’ she previously told Bild.
‘The public hated me without knowing me. Only because of the decisions my parents made.’
Despite this, she’s only ever been supportive of her famous father in public.
Speaking in 2022, after the tennis legend was sentenced to two-and-a-half years behind bars for bankruptcy fraud, she said she was concerned about the impact on her younger half brother Amadeus and even wrote to the court to intercede.
She said she hoped she could help her father ‘get through’ his time in prison by visiting him, and thanked his fans for their support.
She told German newspaper Bild: ‘I’m really in shock that my father has been sentenced to two years and six months. I will support him and I will visit him whenever I can. I hope that will help him a little to get through the time.’
She added that she had ‘helped as best I could’ and had written to the court in support of her father before he was sentenced.
‘I wrote a letter to the court to express my concern for my little half-brother, Amadeus,’ she said.
‘After all, he is only 12 and will now have to do without a father figure, whom he will lack during a difficult phase of his development. It’s not fair to him. It’s going to be tough for Amadeus.’
As recently as March, Boris posted a carousel of snaps to Instagram to celebrate Anna’s birthday.
‘Only the very best to my daughter Anna on her special day. I wish you happiness, health and lots of love,’ she said.

And on Father’s Day last year, Boris took to Instagram to praise his four children.
‘My four biggest achievements so far: thank you Noah, Elias, Anna & Amadeus for making me a proud dad every day!
‘I also would like to sincerely express my gratitude and appreciation to Barbara, Angela and Sharlely for giving me the greatest gift of life.,’ he wrote next to photos of the children throughout the years.
Starting her career as a model, Anna has appeared on magazine covers and catwalks across the world – and this year released her first EP Behind Blue Eyes – with the lead single covering the Who classic.
She currently has 19,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Speaking about embarking on a music career earlier this year, Anna said: ‘I always felt too nervous and shy to sing in front of people, so I’m starting 2024 conquering these fears and making childhood dreams come true.’
Meanwhile, the red-headed beauty is often snapped at showbiz events, having headed to various parties – often with her mother – in Munich, Berlin and Dusseldorf.
Anna is also pals with Damien Hurley – the 22-year-old son of actress Liz – and has posed with both him and his very famous mother.

Boris, 56, and fiancee Lilian De Carvalho, 33, moved to Milan together following his release from prison in December where he served eight months of his two-and-a-half year sentence for insolvency crimes.
He reportedly proposed to Lilian at Milan’s Cathedral back in 2021 – but any hope of a fairytale wedding was cut short by the impending prison sentence.
She was a constant presence by his side while attending court hearings and even blew him a goodbye kiss when he was jailed last year and blasted by a judge for showing no remorse.
After the prison release the couple who were based in the UK relocated to Milan.
LIllian is Becker’s third marriage after he broke up with wife Lilly Becker in 2018 after nine years together.
Meanwhile, his marriage to his first wife, Barbara, lasted one year less. They married in 1993 and separated in 2001 after the then tennis player admitted to having an affair whilst she was pregnant with their second child.

Becker was charged with insolvency crimes in 2022 after declaring himself bankrupt and hiding assets worth £2.5m.
He hid the money by not declaring his share in a huge £1m German property as well as £700,000 cash from a loan among other assets.
Lilian, who was born on the African island of São Tomé and Príncipe, wore three outfits for the occasion, while Boris, tying the knot for the third time, looked effortlessly suave in a cream tuxedo.
Discussing their lavish nuptials for the first time, Boris told Hello! Magazine that it was a ‘magical weekend’ marrying his partner Lilian, and they chose Portofino as their wedding location after spending many happy weekends there together.
He said: ‘Everyone cried, including me… the location where we had the ceremony is, I think, one of the most unique places I have been in my life – and trust me, I have been to a lot of beautiful places!’
The bride stunned the couple’s 100 guests in an elegant white strapless gown crafted for her by an old school friend, designer Andra Ravieli; he had previously promised that he would design her wedding gown when she walked down the aisle.
Guests included former Dutch footballer Ruud Gullit and German actor and model Boris Kodjoe.
The former Wimbledon champ and Lilian married in an outdoor ceremony with beautiful gardens and celebrated in the evening with a four-tier buttercream cake laden with white roses.
The couple spared no expense, with Lilian looking incredible in a strapless ruched bridal gown and veil, while Boris opted for a two-piece suit, including a satin tuxedo in cream and black dickie bow.
The three-day wedding saw Boris and Lilian greet guests arriving by boat and enjoying drinks by the pier before their big day.
