‘Will touch your feet’: Nitish’s request to expedite road project; official responds: ‘Sir, please…’ | India News – Times of India

Sharing a compilation of Nitish Kumar urging officials to speed up infrastructure work in the state, Tejashwi Yadav said, “When the credibility of governance is lost and the ruler lacks self-confidence, he should put aside principles, conscience and ideas and bow down to everyone from top to bottom. However, we are not worried about the Chairman, but about the present and future of Bihar and 14 crore Biharis.”
He called the Prime Minister ‘helpless, weak, invalid, incompetent, limited, powerless, impotent and coerced’.
“Will there be any Prime Minister in the whole world who is so helpless, weak, disabled, incompetent, limited, powerless and coerced that he will fold the hands and touch the feet of everyone from BDO, SDO, police station staff to high ranking officers and even the personal staff of the contractor, for every petty matter?” he asked.
“The main reason for rising crime, rampant corruption, migration and administrative anarchy in Bihar is that not even a single employee (let alone an officer) listens to the Chief Minister. Why he does not listen and why he does not follow orders is a question to ponder. However, the employees and officers are not so much to blame for this,” he added.
