- The telephone link panel that is linked to the start menu is to get a new feature
- This allows Windows 11 users to start with a single click with a single click
- It is in testing a complete rollout that could start soon
Microsoft brings a new trick Windows 11 For those who use the phone -link -app, so that the screen of a screen can be reflected quickly and easily Android -Smartphone On the desktop.
Windows last reports The fact that the new function is currently being rolled out to Windows 11 testers and is part of the panel of the telephone link that is confirmed to the start menu (indeed, the rollout of the aforementioned panel also started relatively recently, and I will come back to that later).
For the non-consecration, the telephone coupling of the telephone is on the right-hand side of the start menu and offers simple access to your messages, calls, plus the recent activity on your phone, and shows various status details (such as the battery life).
To access the new function, you only have to click on the icon for your smartphone – at the top of the panel – and it will set up a screen mirror session.
You don’t have to start the phone -app -app or do something else; Click on the icon and Windows 11 mirrors your Android telephone screen on the desktop there and then (well, given a few seconds to load and synchronize).
Analysis: being patient with the rollout
Windows has tested the function on different Samsung Galaxy -Smartphones and notes that it works well, and that there is an exhibition, the interface for Samsung Mobiles, Released fairly seamlessly on the PC desktop.
Of course, only certain Android devices work with the screen mirror function of the telephone link (and this new function). This includes Samsung Galaxy models, and also phones from Asus (ROG brand), Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Surface Duo, Vivo and Xiaomi (here is The full list of compatible phones).
As mentioned, the new fast access for screen mirroring via the side panel of the start menu is now in testing, but it should be rolled out to the release version of Windows 11 in June, says Windows News. That can even mean from today (June 10), given that a new cumulative update for Windows 11 must appear later today.
Yet the rollout of this new function is probably limited to start, because not everyone has the telephone head panel for the start menu. Officially the rollout of the panel started in April for those at Windows 11 23h2 and 24h2, but the wider availability only happened in May, and what I can see for reports on some online forums, some people still wait for this.
However, it should be on hands at the moment, even if this new shortcut for screen mirroring may arrive for a while longer (you can virtually bet on that).
In short, phone call users with compatible devices must remain patient for the time being and all these goodies will appear on time. Microsoft also looks at a considerably deeper integration with Windows 11 and mobile phones, given clear plans for Resume use of apps on your PC and telephone in a seamless way, just like Apple‘s Handoffcapacity.
