Why M&S dominates the high street
By Abby McHale, Deputy Fashion Editor
In recent years, major changes have taken place at Marks & Spencer.
A shop once seen as a place where your grandma would buy cashmere before heading to the cafe for lunch is now one of the most popular stores on the high street.
After Maddy Evans, formerly of Topshop, became womenswear director in 2022, the brand has grown into a destination as famous for its fashion as its food.
Thanks to Maddy and her team’s clever designs, which focus on comfort, functionality and wearability, a range has been created that suits all generations.
Tik Tok’s Gen Z has made the brand go viral, but there are still plenty of options for middle-aged women.
In addition, the brand will receive even more attention over the next six weeks, with a spot on primetime TV for the new show ‘Dress The Nation’, in which it searches for a new big designer.
The show is hosted by Vernon Kay and AJ Odudu and also features a number of celebrity guests, including Mel B and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
The brand has really responded to the needs of its customers by creating stylish items, at a good price, that can be worn for seasons to come.

Why You Should Go to the Supermarket to Make Fashion Purchases
By Abby McHale, Deputy Fashion Editor
Nowadays you can go to the supermarket for more than just groceries.
Many of them now offer a wide selection of clothing for the whole family, at very affordable prices.
Not only do they play into the trends, meaning you can look stylish on a budget, but they also offer some key pieces that will stay in your wardrobe for years to come.
Thanks to Tik Tok, many of the items are now going viral because of their affordable prices, so you often have to be quick to make sure you get the items at the top of your wish list.
There aren’t many other places that offer the same quality as supermarket clothing.
And the quality is also fine.
With jeans for £20, trench coats for £40 and a whole range of accessories and lingerie, they have definitely become a fashion destination.
Many of these supermarkets also stock other brands, giving you even more choice.
