- Epson introduces ReadyPrint Max, bundle printers and ink through subscription
- Plans can be adjusted based on your printing needs, including the number of pages
- Ink ships automatic and the printer must remain online to follow the use
Epson has introduced a new way for users to gain access printVia a subscription model that is very similar to how many people already pay for telephones or streaming services.
The new ReadyPrint Max Plan offers customers an Ecotank printer together with regular ink deliveries, starting from as low as the equivalent of $ 7.99 per month for a plan of 50 pages.
The model eliminates the need for prior costs, making it easier to start printing without a big first purchase.
A constant stock ink
After selecting a printer that suits their needs, users choose a page plan based on how much they expect to print. The company sends the printer and keeps ink levels remotely, delivers new ink before it is used up.
Readyprint Max is compatible with a series of Epson’s Ecotank printers. Models differ in functions and price points, with regard to basic prints to a higher volume of office use.
Options such as the Ecotank ET-2870U and ET-M1170 focus on cheap prints, while others such as the ET-5850U and ET-16650U are aimed at users who need higher speeds, higher capacity or A3 prints.
Planning scale with use, with monthly allowances of 50 to 3,000 pages. Users can change their plan every month as their needs shift, and as soon as the 18 -month commitment ends, subscriptions can continue every month.
As you would expect, early cancellation costs apply if a user leaves before the minimum period is over, although Epson offers a 14-day cancellation window in the beginning.
To ensure that everything runs smoothly, the printer must remain connected to the internet, so that firmware updates and ink follow.
Ink is delivered proactively, so users do not have to worry about ordering fillings. If a customer chooses to end the plan, the printer must be returned in good condition to prevent a fine.
ReadyPrint Max reflects a shift to service -based models, giving users to flexibility in how they get access at home or at the office and manage prints. It is currently being offered in selected European countries, including the VK and Germany, and is expected to be launched in the US, which already has ready print.
