Woman accused of killing and dismembering her husband more than a year after he disappeared from their western Sydney home under ‘suspicious’ circumstances

A woman has been charged with the murder of her husband, almost 18 months after he disappeared under ‘suspicious’ circumstances.

NSW Police allege Nirmeen Noufl, 53, dismembered the body of 62-year-old Mamdouh Noufl to hide his remains.

She was arrested at a Bankstown hospital on Thursday afternoon and charged with DV’s murder.

Noufl was refused bail and was remanded in custody on Friday after appearing in court.

An investigation into her husband’s disappearance began in July 2023 when police were called to a house in Juno Parade in Greenacre in Sydney’s west.

The 62-year-old had not been seen since May, while police at the time declared his disappearance suspicious.

Noufl is due to return to Burwood Local Court on December 11.

The investigation led by Strike Force Tannerie continues.
