A snorkeler has been bitten by a shark off the coast of Western Australia.
The woman was swimming at Rat Island in the Abrolhos Islands, about 80km west of Geraldton, when she was attacked.
Her condition is unknown.
It is not clear which species of shark was involved in the attack.

The attack comes a week after surfer Kai McKenzie lost his leg when he was bitten by a shark at remote North Shore Beach, near Port Macquarie on the New South Wales north coast.
The 23-year-old man managed to fend off the shark and paddle to shore, where he was helped by an off-duty police officer who used his dog’s leash to stop the bleeding.
Mr McKenzie was seriously injured in the attack, but on Monday he shared an update on social media showing him at his hospital bedside, flanked by supporters.

“It’s so nice to have so many great people behind me, I really appreciate that.”
Mr McKenzie’s leg washed up on the beach and was taken to John Hunter Hospital but could not be re-attached.
