Vicky and her friends went to Wetherspoons for a Nice night out – enjoy dinner and a few jugs of cocktails.

“It’s never a normal girls night with me and my friends,” she wrote after documenting her friend’s bizarre food.

In the clip, she laughed hysterically as her friend waited patiently with her bowl of chips for a cup of boiling water and a teaspoon.

“Can you repeat what you just asked the waiter,” Vicky said

“A mug of boiling water and a teaspoon,” her friend replied confidently.

“Why?” Vicky pressed.

“Because spoons don’t make gravy anymore, they only do chicken gravy, and I don’t like it,” she explained.

She then dug into her Disney backpack and pulled out a ziplock bag filled with gravy granules.

While you can still get curry sauce and chicken gravy with your fries, the chain has stopped dispensing beef gravy.

The women became hysterical when her friend said she couldn’t take the entire container with her so she rationed it.

“I can’t take the container with me because the boys have gravy for their dindins,” she added.

When the waiter brought her mug of hot water, she quickly made her own gravy over the fries, adding that it was “delicious.”

The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @vicki_filthy_sentiments with over 285,000 views and 12,000 likes.

People were quick to respond to the comments calling her friend a genius, while others were stunned by her dedication.

One person wrote: “improvise, adapt, overcome. This is elite level ingenuity.”

How can I save money at Wetherspoons?

FREE refills – Buy €1.50 of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.

Check a map – Prices may vary by location, even if they are close together.

So if you’re planning on having a pint at a Spoons, it’s worth checking out nearby pubs to see if you can get the cheapest deal.

Choose your day – Every evening the pub chain organizes certain theme evenings with food.

For example, there is a curry club every Thursday evening, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a fixed price cheaper than normal.

Collection slips – Students can often purchase voucher books from their local universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.

Request an app – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table, but you don’t have to be in the pub to use it.

Cheeky customers have taken full advantage of this by using social media to ask their friends and family to order drinks for them. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play.

Check the date – Every year Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.

It usually takes place in September and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.

In addition to the 12-day Real Ale Festival each autumn, Wetherspoons also hosts a Spring Festival.

Another commented: “I wasn’t expecting the actual granules.”

“Save this video for next time someone asks for an example of English culture,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “As a former Spoons employee I have seen examples of this. I have known people who would bring their own lamb sauce, mustard and other things and stop doing so.”

“My kind of woman,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “This is genius!”
