Woman found dead at Pullman Hotel in Penrith while man fights for life with cuts on his body
Staff at the Pullman Hotel in Penrith, western Sydney, made a grim discovery on Sunday afternoon when they found the dead body of a woman covered in blood.
A man was also found at the scene and is being held under police guard in connection with the investigation.
Emergency services were called to the hotel on Mulgoa Road at around 1.10pm after the woman’s body was discovered.
“The man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition,” NSW Police said in a statement. The deceased woman has not yet been formally identified, but a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that “the couple is believed to know each other.”

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command have cordoned off a crime scene. Local detectives will investigate, assisted by the State Crime Command’s homicide unit.
The on-site investigation is likely to last several hours.
