Woman is amazed when she realizes there is a MUCH easier way to grate cheese

Grating cheese may sound like a simple kitchen chore, but it turns out we’ve been doing it wrong all these years.

TikTok user @go4gobbler told me not to hold the grater upright and not to run the cheese over it, but to lay it flat.

She demonstrated how to hold the handle to hold the cheese firmly and then rub the cheese horizontally across the flat top.

Not only is this hack easy to implement, it also creates less clutter.

She showed how the cheese falls through the grater and is held without edges, preventing the cheese from flying all over the place.

The woman wrote: “The shit I’m learning from TikTok.

“I’m still ashamed that I didn’t know this before.”

Her video has received over 890,000 likes and people were quick to comment.

One of them said: “It seems like the angle is a bit more comfortable for your wrist, and you don’t need an extra bowl or plate etc.”

Another wrote: “This could have saved my knuckles a long time ago.”

And a third commented: “I blame my mother because she taught me the opposite. I knew she was wrong.”

While some people agreed that the sideways method is much easier, others felt that this was completely wrong.

How do you use the grater?

Meanwhile, another woman left everyone amazed when she revealed a hidden function of her cheese grater.

Sasha said she always ruins her block of cheese by trying NiceCut thin slices with a knife.

When she saw a trick online to get perfect slices using a hidden function on a traditional grater, she had to try it.

Sasha went to TikTok to document how she tested the hack, using the lines on the side of the triangular grater.

“I never realized that this would slide here and it would be a perfect…” she said.

Sasha then exclaimed, “No way. Oh my God!”

The clip showed her sliding the block over the drawers before removing the slices from the inside of the grater.

“I’m shocked,” she concluded.

“Okay, am I the last to know or what?! Game changer!” Sasha captioned her video.

“What did you think that side was for…..?!” someone responded.
